King Dunlap Out; Jarret Johnson Doubtful

D.J. Fluker is going to get plenty of work on the left side of the line. At least he likes doing it. King Dunlap will miss another game this season with his neck injury. He has missed multiple games this year because of the neck. He also has missed games because of concussions.

With Dunlap on the sideline with an injury, Fluker has stepped up as the left tackle and Jeromey Clary moved over to right tackle. Not exactly the way we all would like it to get done, but it is working out alright.

Jarret Johnson wants to participate in the game, but he just had surgery on his hand and will likely miss out. He also still is recovering from a hamstring injury that has plagued him for the last few games. We just can’t seem to have him healthy this year. When he was healthy, he was one of our best defensive players.

Tourek Williams and Thomas Keiser will likely be our starters on the outside linebacker position.

Just sit him. Give the young guys a chance to get some experience. It’s in the Chargers best long term interests to get Keiser an Williams as much playing time as possible. Look when you have Vets like Freeney an Johnson, you need to manage their time to prevent this. They are not what they used to be and in know the rotation behind them was not awesome. But guess what, the rotation behind them is starting now. It’s either bite the bullet early in the season in certain situations or, bite the bullet late in the season and you HAVE to lean on the youngs guys to play well. Guess which one Pags chose?

Dj Is a warrior!! Hopefully the Oline hold up pretty good. And RM needs to have another good game to keep the D honest. I have a feeling or D is gonna play Lights out. with the players calling our each other on the garbage they put out in Miami.. let’s do this. I have a bit of faith left for this year

I said this a LONG time ago… if we could stay healthy, we would be pretty good. The fact that the injuries have come to key players just plain sucks. The thing is about these injuries, the younger players get a lot of experience and that goes a long way to being a better team next year. But we pay the price this year. The one that worries me the most is Dunlap. Yes, our defense seems to be the side that really struggles but our left tackle position looked to be locked up when Dunlap started the season strong. Would have been a big position not to have to worry about next season. But, with all of his injuries, looks like we need to address that position again. Along with many others.
