Titans vs. Colts: Thursday Night Football Open Thread

Tonight the Tennessee Titans host the Indianapolis Colts in an AFC South Showdown. The 4-5 Titans are looking to get back to .500, and get one game closer to the 6-3 Colts. The Colts will be trying to hold on to the 3rd seed in the AFC, and 1st place in the division. The Titans are in second place in the division, and need a head-to-head victory over the Colts. Both teams got straight up EMBARRASSED last week! The Colts got shellacked by the hapless St. Louis Rams, and the Titans lost to the winless Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Colts are now without #1 wide receiver Reggie Wayne, who is out with a torn ACL. They have some talented, but young receivers that will need to step up. The Titans also just lost Jake Locker to a Listfranc toe injury for the season. Ex-Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will now start at QB. If you are a Charger fan, you should be rooting for the Colts to win, and keep the Titans out of the playoff hunt for the last wild-card spot. The Chargers need them to lose, in order to have a chance at reaching the postseason. The Bolts already lost to the Titans earlier this year, and would lose the head-to-head battle, should the final spot come down to a tie breaker.

If you have never been to an open thread, just head to the comments section and join in on the conversation as the game transpires. Leave comments cheering or jeering the two teams, and their players. Have fun!

I have like 0 motivation to watch this game but I will anyhow, once football is over it’s gone for so long you miss lame Thursday night games like this lol.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

My motivation is that I don’t want to see the Titans win.. just like I watched that awful Monday night game to see the Dolphins get flogged by Tampa. .. lol.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Hey Blanksy.. totally forgot to ask… you live in Fullerton? You know I live in Fullerton too, right?

  • Blue&gold_blood

    Who would you guys start
    Chris Johnson vs Indy

      Ew and ew

      • Blue&gold_blood

I know, just pick one lol

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Johnson, I guess. Only because he just busted a 150 game, and will probably get the ball early and often with Fitzpatrick starting.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Hahaha. … why don’t you tell us what you really think, Ernie?

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

          Haha.

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

          Doh.. two TDS already.

    • Calman21

Rice has just been bad all year.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Well this game sucks so far. I friggin hate Chris Johnson right now.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Colts hold, and Titans shank the punt. They get it at almost mid-field. Hey, at least it’s not an NFC game with zero at stake for SD.. LOL.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Colts take the lead… nice…. looks like Im the Lone Ranger… this game has HUGE implications on our playoff chances.

  • arnie

Has it come to this? We’re looking for help from the Colts?

    • Daryl Peek

We need help from others too

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Even a hostage would eat their captors food. And then kill them.

      • arnie

        sigh… I’ll take it.

        • Daryl Peek

          Me too

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

            Yeeeeeep!!!!

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Lol… no.. we can do it on our own. But…it dont hurt. And they are giving us help. Fleener is beasting, and the play action is something we need to make a note of. We’d beat Indy in the playoffs.

      • arnie

LOL we might sneak in at 9-7…

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Im watchng the Jets. They have the easiest walk this week. But it’s on the road, against a divisional rival.

          • Daryl Peek

Need the Browns and Ravens to drop one also. They both have better conference records.

          • arnie

I hoping they stay true to their course.

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Both teams are on the road against better teams.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Get ready for the onside kick.

    • arnie

      You Know it.

  • arnie

    Defense fellas’…..

  • arnie

    Make the play, an “FINISH”.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Sounds like an article to me. ; )

        • arnie

    Gotta go to sleep now… I’ll leave a light on for y’all. .. ☆

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

One last thing to dream on. We just went from 11th to 10th best team in the AFC, and we are still 14th best in the league, according to NFL.com power rankings.
