Melvin Ingram’s Target Date For The Practice Field Is November 20

If Melvin Ingram is going to get back on the field with the San Diego Chargers this season, it will be on the back end of the window that he is allowed via the PUP list designation. The last day the Chargers would be able to decide would be on November 20th. He either gets on the practice field on the 20th or the team has to place him on the IR.

I don’t know if he is going to be ready to get back onto the field by that time, but he would be a huge boost to the defense. He would be a huge boost IF he is at 100%. He is not going to be at full strength when he gets back on the field this season. We just need to make sure that when he does get back on the field, he won’t risk further injuring that knee.

I can’t wait to see Melvin back on the field and I would love to see him back out there this season, but if he is not ready, we can’t rush him. It sounds like the team will make sure that he passes a series of tests before they allow him to get back on the football field. Smart move. I hope he passes and hope he is chasing down quarterbacks in no time.

I hope he’s on that A.P. & D.Rose regimen. I want to see him come back, stronger and more explosive than ever.

D, Rose? He took a long time to comeback.

Gained six inches of vertical… I’d rather have Melvin take his time than have him rush on the field at less than 100%

I can see this turning into a Ray Lewis situation , if make the playoffs, then he will be on the field . Only if he makes back on the roster of course .

So which game would that be for?

According to the Schedule, he would be back on the practice field, the week of the Chiefs game, in KC, on the 24th. If not, then he would have Bengals, Giants, Broncos Raiders an Chiefs at home. to make his return. Like 619cahrgers4life said, it may be a playoff cenerio that would bring him back, in such a tight window. By the Chiefs game we’ll know if they have a shot at the post season.

Stay out and completely rehab the leg. He will be better off with the rest and come back full strength next year.

I think if we beat the Skins, hand Denver a loss and if KC starts to lose a few then it might be a good idea to bring him back. Otherwise rest it for as long as possible.

    That HGH is good stuff

Love to see him out there and dominate, but we all know it takes a while to get back up to game speed. Sure hate to see a set back, he is going to be a monster for us in the future. Maybe we take the roster hit, keep him available, play him some if he is healthy enough, then maybe, just maybe, he can go beast mode for us in the AFC Championship, and Super Bowl… :) Hey, it could happen….. But for now, let’s just concentrate on beating those dirty Skins. Bolt Up!
