Chargers Bring In A Few Players For Work Outs

The Chargers brought in a few guys for workouts today. They brought in former Denver Broncos LB Adrian Robinson in for a workout. He was released by the Broncos when they signed WR Tavarres King onto the roster.

They also brought in receivers Greg Orton and Tobais Palmer. Orton also was a former Denver Broncos player. All these guys look like possible practice squad players and it is interesting that they have a couple of guys that are familiar with the Broncos playbook.

The Chargers face the Broncos in a few weeks, but it doesn’t hurt to get an early scouting report on those guys. Robinson might be a guy that we sign to the roster. We do need some depth at linebacker. I still like some other possibilities that just came available though: Sam Montgomery and Martez Wilson.

H/T Aaron Wilson

I would bring in Martez Wilson or Sam Montgomery (if he wasnt smoking pot) before Martinez. But in TT I trust. Maybe martinez is being brought in for information…

Tobias Palmer is a Punt/Kick returner. McCoy must not be overly excited with Lavell Hawkins? Or maybe they just want more WR depth.

The Jags were high on him as a third WR in camp. Smoking with a 4.31 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.

“Tremendous speed and great hands.” That’s what was said of Tobias coming out of college. Doesn’t hurt being an NC State alum either, PR thumbs up.

He has had some great returns/catches… Palmer is a little beast.

It also seems to be the type of receiver that Tom Telesco likes. Someone that can make people miss in the open field.

He really impressed me with those highlights. I can see why he went undrafted (doesn’t catch with his hands enough, and all of those routes were pretty simple), but he’s not that bad. Could be a great pickup as a returner. Would be happy if TT signed either him or Wilson.

I’m sold on Wilson. Of course, there is more to the situation than we know, but Martez would be the best addition at first glance. I’ll have to go look at these other guys’ highlights.

    DAMMIT!! The Faiders picked Martez.

You snooze you lose… not to mention i think they had higher priority on the waiver wire.

I’m starting to see a pattern? players seem to be signed, just in time to prepare for the teams the Chargers will face.

yea they did. their record is worse than ours.
