The San Diego Chargers will be without a pair of their starting linebackers again today as Donald Butler and Jarret Johnson are both listed as inactive for the game. Johnson practiced all week and it seemed like he was on progress to play this weekend against the Jaguars, but he is sidelined again giving his hamstring a rest. Donald Butler already was expected to miss the game with his groin injury. Both guys will benefit from the BYE week and should be ready for the game against the Washington Redskins after the BYE.

The Chargers will have to go with the backup crew of linebackers again today. They did well against the Indianapolis Colts and we will need another big performance from the crew this week. Larry English, Thomas Keiser and Tourek Williams will be rotating at the outside linebacker/defensive end positions, while Manti Te’o, Andrew Gachkar and Reggie Walker will be rotating in the middle.

Eddie Royal injured his toe against the Colts and his status was questionable for the game. He is active and should be available in the slot for Philip Rivers and the offense.
