Chargers vs Jaguars: Open Thread

The San Diego Chargers traveled out to Jacksonville to take on the winless Jaguars. The boys can’t go to sleep before the BYE week. We need to get out and make plays and put this team away early. We have to step on the gas out of the gate and run away with the win.

Let’s string a few wins together and get into this playoff race. We just need top get into the playoffs and anything can happen.

The Chargers have the offense to put up a ton of points. They need to get those red zone issues figured out and find a way to put 7′s on the scoreboard. Ryan Mathews needs to run the ball like he did against Indy. The defense needs to continue to be aggressive and needs to slow down Justin Blackmon and Maurice Jones Drew. Manti Te’o needs to tackle better. Derek Cox needs to cover.

We should win this game. We should have our first winning record of the season after this game. Let’s get out there and get it done.

If you are new to the open thread post, head down to the comments section and share your thoughts on the game as it is happening. The awesome readers of Bolt Beat will be down there sharing there thoughts.

To start out the post, andwer this question: who will have a breakout game for the Chargers today?

Nice win but we’ve got to get better in the secondary! RGIII & Manning will eat us up in the next two games playing like this.

If nothing else. . I hope that the INT’s give Cox & Gilchrist confidence, songs raise their level of play. They are the worst two players back there.

        • boltingindiego

i will say this they both played great in the red zone each deflecting a pass that could have been td’s.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Agreed. The score doesn’t tell the story on D. But, fake it until you make it, I guess.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Huge win. Fuck Cowher for picking the Jags. And some people wanted his sorry retread ass to be our coach. Heck No!! Conference win.. road win. Keep playing for the division guys!!! Dont take your foot off the gas because of Denver or KC!!! GO FOR THE THROAT! !!!

    • Aaron Johnson

A bad prediction means he would have been bad for us as coach? Chill out dude. Its football and every team has a 50/50 shot of winning. He was wrong, thankfully, and we got the win. Leave it at that, he has done a lot for the league.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Look. ..I’ll say whatever I want on here. East Coast announcers always have it out for the Bolts, and him picking the Jags was a topic of conversation earlier. So why don’t YOU chill out bro. What are you? The comment police? We are all just celebrating a win. Kick rocks with that.

  • RZ

    Enjoy the moment!! GO BOLTZ!!!

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

good win…bye week coming at a perfect time

  • arnie

Thanks for that great prediction Warren. You picked a team with a total output of 5 points at home, to win over a QB that is in the top ten conversations?

  • Joel Ayala

Great Win today!!! RM was in beast mode. and hopefully can keep growing on this. D played Very very well. To hope Jags without a TD and Colts is HUGE!!! Man let’s get healthy and keep Pushing!!! now we have 2 weeks to see who we play as LT. man trade a 5 rd pick for a LT or something. Dunlap get well soon.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

BTW … all that trade Matthews, get MJD nonsense. Buy into the program. Mike McCoy rocks!!!!

    • Sergio Quintero

The staff appears to have found how to use Rivers, they sure seem to have found how to improve Mathews ball security.

If he can continue this level of play the talk about drafting an RB goes out the window.

Oh BTW.. Miami & Chicago both lost to WA and BUF…. Cough cough NFL.com power rankings top ten?

Ernie: I am begging here. No articles about the Chiefs and how wonderful they are. Chief fans will be out trolling today since the Broncos lost.
