Jarret Johnson, Eddie Royal, Donald Butler Practice Update

The San Diego Chargers were shorthanded on Sunday at the linebacker position. Starting outside linebacker Jarret Johnson was unavailable because of a hamstring injury and was not able to participate in the win against the Indianapolis Colts. With Johnson on the sideline, the Chargers started the game off with Larry English and Tourek Williams on the outside.

It looks like Johnson is getting close to getting back on the field for Sundays. He participated in practice today. That is a good sign for the outside linebacker.

Slot receiver Eddie Royal hurt his toe in the game against the Colts and was not able to practice today. With Royal out of the game, newly acquired Lavelle Hawkins was getting action in the slot. If Royal is unable to go, Hawkins would be needed to play more.

Starting guard Chad Rinehart still is not on the practice field.

Donald Butler is not on the practice field again. He has been dealing with a groin injury. With Butler out, Andrew Gachkar saw his first start in his career in the middle.

They should sit DB out until after the bye…If Royal is able to get back soon he should play Sunday otherwise sit him too.I know it’s tough to win in this league but if there is a game where they can rest people,it would be this week.Go BOLTZ !! Play Hard!!!

I would really like to see Hawkins take all the returns. Save our starters for the field. Plus he looked good when he was returning…guy bowled over two defenders (i think it was two) when he returned for us.

Taylor still is not ready to go

They should play Ladarius Green as a WR, and let Vincent Brown be a slot receiver. I have a feeling that Ladarius could be another Vincent Jackson if given the chance. Can anyone tell me what happened to Brandon Taylor? Is he still out with an injury?

Taylor is on the mend, expected back soon (probably same time as Gronk)!

Jags are wearing their fancy teal jerseys they busted out in the preseason but haven’t worn them yet. I actually really like their look, we should keep the powder blue going until we lose and see how many games we can keep it going. Teal/Black Vs. the Powder would be a epic event.

Is it to late to reach out to Merriman?
