Chargers Bring in Linebacker For Work Out

The San Diego Chargers are looking for depth at outside linebacker. They brought in DE/LB Scott Solomon in for a workout today to see if he could be a fit for the roster, per Michael Gehlken. Solomon was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 7th round in the 2012 draft and also spent some time with the New York Jets. He hasn’t seen much time on the field with either team.

The team has had a ton of injuries at their linebacker position and need to add some depth. Tourek Williams and Larry English were the starters on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Thomas Keiser is also on the roster that is added depth. Jarret Johnson would be starting if his hamstring would cooperate. Johnson tried to warm up before the game and test it out, but he was unable to get out to the game.

It seems that we could see the Chargers sign another player onto the roster to fill out the depth a little better. Could it be Solomon?

Btw what’s the name of the guy we traded our 7th round pick for? He’s been doing good, TT really has a good eye for talent….also I’ve noticed johny “pornstar” Patrick has been doing really good also

      Sean lissemore from cowboys

Patrick has been thumping guys, and doing a good job of it! Even Marshall gets in on the action, and so does Wright. Wish Cox would too. He stands back & waits until he absolutely has to make the tackle, or “pretends” he’s blocking, usually. Lol.

cox will two hand touch them once everybody is on the ground. Saw that at least three times last game. He should get flagged for acting like chromo…

Hahahaha… good one… At least someone else notices. I know he is injury prone, and might not want to risk taking on a RB, but DANG SON! On one play.. not even kidding.. he appeared to be holding onto his blocker, trying to make it look like he was being blocked out of the play, so someone else would make the tackle (Reggie Walker I think). The blocker was kinda looking at him like “Let go of me, holmes!!! The whistle already blew!!!!” LMFAO.. The play ended up going for a first down, instead of a short gain.. no effort whatsoever on his part. I had to rewind it to make sure that I wasn’t imagining it. Good grief!!!

I’ve also noticed him slow down and get behind anyone close to him from the other team so they can block him or make it look like he was blocked or just slow down and watch lol.

If I were Pagano… or anyone else on the defense.. I would be up his ass like broken glass! He is getting paid more than any CB out there. The way I see it, he is almost useless on running plays… he is terrible playing off the receiver… and he got burnt by Heyward Bey in man coverage. What is it that he does well again?

I noticed, and if he can’t clean it up, I’m confident TT will clean up his mess and take out the trash.

          • Michael

They should fine him everytime he acts like cromartie,,,, tackle ?someone,,,, who me?

          • arnie

            LOL No doubt.

  • Rob Base

    Is that dude from Rice?

    • blu3ny3llow

      Yes Sir

  • Michael

If they can dial up that d again like they did with the colts there will be a lot more w’s in the future!!!!!! GO BOLTS!!!!

  • JoseSD

Although Tourek needs a lot of work when it comes to pass rushing and wrapping up on tackles I gotta say I do like the way he hits. The times that he was able to get a tackle or the ballcarrier was gang tackled Tourek hit with force and you could hear the cracks from the collision. Its been a while since we had that hard hitting LB Ingram looked like he was the one til his ACL tore

    So Frank Beltre isn’t worth a re-look?
