Philip Rivers: “I didn’t know who the Colts were playing with all those commercials”

Philip Rivers has taken control of the Chargers offense and has the team playing at a high level. He definitely had seen the commercials for the Monday Night game that was promoting Andrew Luck’s Monday Night debut. After the game, he was speaking with Lisa Salters and called out the ESPN ad:

“I didn’t know who the Colts were playing with all those commercials.”

I love that he called out ESPN about their promotion. All we saw was Andrew Luck for the whole week. We got no respect from the network and Philip called them out on it.

He controlled the offense and led his team to victory. He has been playing like an MVP this season. That new offense has revived his career. The offensive line has revived his career. Keenan Allen has revived his career.

The offense is rolling and Philip will bring this team back to relevance around the league. Maybe ESPN will take notice at some point during the year.

The Chargers will get respect when they don’t lose after leading in the 2nd half and don’t lose to the Raiders.

Keenan Allen is a rookie. How would he revive his career?

Phillip said “Awesome” about 5 times in that interview. That’s awesome.

This is also the Third time i’ve had to listen to ESPN make excuses for team that lost to the Chargers. All day i heard about how they reassured the public Luck did not need to fixed, it was Luck’s defense, receivers and RB that let him down. They gave credit for the Chargers defense on stepping up, then moved on for the next 30 minutes should the Colts be worried.
The Chargers will get respect when they can play with some consistency, and string some wins together.
