Keenan Allen Nominated For Rookie of the Week

San Diego Chargers Rookie WR Keenan Allen got a lot of love last night in front of the national audience. He really stepped his game up last night for the team. Everyone knew where Philip Rivers was going to throw the ball, but the completions still kept coming. The Chargers kept moving the football and kept getting first downs with their rookie wide receiver.

Allen will get plenty of opportunities the rest of the season to show off his skills and show the rest of the league that they made a mistake for not taking him. Allen was passed up by the whole league because of a poor 40 time and because of a prior injury. Before the combine and news of the injury, he was projected to be one of the top receivers in the draft. I am happy that those things did not scare Tom Telesco from picking him up.

Allen is going to be good for a long time for us. Keep feeding him that rock!

Who’s he up against stat wise for ORTY? I think after the season is over her could have better numbers then some top 5 guys.

Kiko Alonso (MLB) is stepping up pretty big for Buffalo, and seems to be a favorite. Eddie Lacey has been mentioned too.

if the Chargers want to get more production form there offense, they need to go over the top, back shoulder fades, outside the numbers to #13. We saw RM24 off the edges and Woodhead can do out of the back field and Gates doubled, the Chargers need to get that 8th man out of the box. I want to see Phillip get the mentality if you try to take Gates away, i’m going to Allen over the top.

didn’t care to come on the open thread last night, had to meet a client for dinner, then caught the 4th quarter for the W…Ended up watching it via DVR til I caught myself falling asleep midway thru the 3rd…
Man, this team is just waiting to bust out…If injuries could be less and a solid 2014 Draft, just wait….
What blows my mind right now is how complete of a game they played vs the Cowboys for W, then the debacle at OAK, to the W last night…
Once the identity of this squad is clear and apparent, they are gonna be beasts…..
I really like what I saw for the most part keeping in mind that our D is young and missing a few peices still….
Thanks for making the final 3 to seal the deal Novak, you deserve to go piss in the gatorade for that!!! Oh, and way to go Cox for the pick….

      Wow great W!!!

So uh Ernie, Keenan Allan or Tavon Austin ;)

Hahahaha… I still think Tavon Austin is being used terribly in St. Louis, but I have always loved Allen in that draft also.
