Keenan Allen Listed As Top Receiver On Chargers Depth Chart

If you look over at the San Diego Chargers depth chart, Keenan Allen is listed as the number 1 guy. I liked him coming out of college, but there is no way that I saw this happening this soon in his career. He has had a nice couple of games, but he will need to sustain that production. Rookies will make their share of mistakes also, but Allen looks like he is the real deal.

Allen has benefited from the injuries to Malcom Floyd and Danario Alexander and has ascended up the depth chart. He is listed as the top receiver with Vincent Brown as the number 2 and Eddie Royal as the slot receiver. Seyi Ajirotutu and Lavelle Hawkins round out the roster at the position. Who would have seen that as our receiving group at the beginning of the year? We are only in week 6 and we have all kinds of injury issues at the position.

Hoping for health from all the your receivers. We have a solid group of young guys at the position and they all will be getting the opportunity to make some plays.

Allen has started in 3 games this season and has 14 receptions for 225 yards and a touchdown. He has 195 yards receiving and a score in his last 2 games.

Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

He is better at getting and staying open. This should actually help Brown by drawing some attention away from him.

    • Brandon Reisinger

It helps Brown cause sense Allen has stepped in Allen has been playing on the line of scrimmage and it opens Brown up to play off the line of scrimmage. Allen is bigger and more physical, Brown is smaller and a awesome route runner but not physical enough to be able to handle getting jammed at the line and still get out in time to run his route. These two complement each other PERFECTLY!

Well now that was quick! Injuries escalate career status. Go get them KA!

Good damn draft pick TT / MM, hell, DJ, Manti’, Allen, all really good picks, and with them starting in San Diego, and excelling, getting better, and better, they are going to be lifers. Like the rest of us :). Good addition to our family this is for sure. Just think people, a couple more years of picks like this, and we are going to be monster deep, and talented. Don’t forget, this is the inaugural year for those who are going to get us a ring. Looking good……..Bolt Up!!
