Chargers Add RB Kerwynn Williams To Practice Squad

The San Diego Chargers added RB Kerwynn Williams onto the practice squad.  He was drafted in the 7th round by the Indianapolis Colts and is a smaller sized back that can make things happen in the open field. He has that Sproles and Danny Woodhead look and feel all over him.

Here are some highlights from his senior year:

He is really small and can be explosive with the football in his hands, but he has to learn how to block for his quarterback. He can learn on the practice squad and he can give the Chargers a little insight on the Colts offense for the Monday Night matchup.

Like the Patriots stock pile miniature white wide outs, we stockpile little tiny running backs. Why not

          someone has to do it

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

We eventually need a guy that can blow some dudes up on the 1 yard line, all of these little guys get pushed the other direction (that is if they keep going up the gut from the 1 everytime)

You are so correct. The Chargers can get more production from them in space. Try some play-action, or a little dump pass over the middle.

Turner ain’t busy and probably an affordable one year lease… His tires are pretty worn.

  • rickochey

not impressed with him. bad song to show his highlights.. ” I want the money and the fame”….. ghey!!!

  • Pels04

Im all for signing players to make this team better but does TT look at any other teams than the Colts? How many players is that now that are ex-colts?

  • Cgoodness13

TT has been doing work, I’m hoping the coaching staff and players take note and put in some more extra effort also, losing to the raiders is inexcusable.

    • Stefanie Smith

You are so right. Some ranking of the teams through Week 5 gave us an F. Just the idea of it makes me ill.

  • Rob Base

So now Maysonet and Williams are on the PS? 2 RB’s huh…. They won’t replace Sproles.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

yup… we got them both on there. wonder why we are stocking up on backs…

      • Rob Base

        Mathews looming trade bahahaha

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

          hahahahah

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

That would be excellent, I’m kinda hoping we do pull off some sort of trade

          • tubbs45

            I wouldnt object!

          • Rob Base

            Maysonet cut. Harris on IR

  • Gunnar Martin

I remember him from Utah State. He was pretty good, and I was actually sort of hoping we would get him in the later rounds of the draft (before we had Woody of course). He’s quick, and would probably be a good kick returner. By the way, any more news on Lavelle Hawkins, our new returner? Will he be active this week?

    • tubbs45

I think practice has been pushed back a day cause we don’t play till Monday, but we should hear about LH soon! Fingers crossed!

  • Bill Nichols

Keep it up Telesco, you will find that diamond in the rough, I am sure of it. Not too sure if we could get a dirty jock strap for Mathews at this point, but I still think he has been putting more into it this year, the added right side of the line strength and bulliness, have been a huge part of that. But can’t hit that hole with a concussion for sure. Come on Bolts, get us a win Monday night. Bolt Up!

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

That would be cool if there was a part of the locker room that looked like a pee wee locker room over in the corner with little tiny lockers for all our Small dudes.

    • tubbs45

The equipment manager has been calling local pee wee football teams for pads!

  • tubbs45

Damn busy day at the fortress! You go TT. After that Raiders game no one better be complacent.

  • tubbs45

Shit… Gelkin just reported: “Chargers place offensive tackle Michael Harris (ankle) on injured reserve. Out for season.”

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

WTH Mike Harris out for the year? ankle? Ballllllllsssssssssssssss………

    • tubbs45

We need some sort of Native American spirit guide to rid the charger of bad Left Tackle bad mojo!

  • Rob Base

Mike Harris done for season. I knew something was up. Ding my ass!

    • tubbs45

McCoy is just gangster like that… Taking cues from the pats. “He’s day to day.” Reporter “but coach his arm was laying on the field.” Bellicheck “like I said he’s day-to-day.”
