The San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders renew that rivalry this week for the 2013 season. Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates have turned back the hands of time and are playing at elite levels all over again. They will be facing off against the Oakland Raiders and Terrelle Pryor. Pryor  will be in his first game back since suffering a big-time concussion against the Denver Broncos.

Chargers Player to Watch: Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers is playing back at that elite level all over again. He threw for 401 yards and 3 touchdowns last week against the Dallas Cowboys and has a career 6-1 record in Oakland. He will be looking to hook up with Antonio Gates on offense and keep moving that football up and down the field.

Raiders Player to Watch: Terrelle Pryor

Pryor is returning back to the field after suffering a bad concussion and will be looking to lead the Oakland Raiders offense to a victory. He will add the dimension of running the football in the Raiders backfield. With Darren McFadden likely out, Pryor may have to do it all for the Raiders offense.

Matchup to Watch: Manti Te’o vs Terrelle Pryor

Sep 29, 2013; San Diego, CA, USA; San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te

Manti Te’o should be seeing the field a little more often this week and will be keeping his sights set on Terrelle Pryor. If Pryor wants to take off and start running, it will be up to Te’o and the rest of the Chargers defense to keep him from busting loose. It should be a fun little matchup to keep our eyes on.

Prediction:

The Chargers offense is playing at another level and should be able to move the football up and down the field on the Oakland defense. Philip Rivers should be able to find his receivers for touchdowns and the Chargers will put up points. The Raiders will put up a fight and it will be up to Terrelle Pryor to keep the Raiders in the game. He will have to make a ton of plays to keep them competitive.
