Chargers DE Corey Liuget Warns Pryor That The Defense Is Coming

San Diego Chargers DE Corey Liuget has been talking about the opposing quarterbacks a lot lately and I am all for it if he is going to back up his talk. Last week he said that the Chargers planned on hitting Tony Romo to get him out of his rhythm and the Dallas defense is pretty basic.

This time he is talking a little bit about the Oakland Raiders offense and Terrelle Pryor and said:

It would be smart for him not to run outside the pocket. Our defense is coming. Not gonna feel no pity. – Corey Liuget via Jordan Carruth

The Chargers better be prepared to keep contain on Pryor. We have let a couple of quarterbacks run around on us, mainly Jake Locker and it has hurt our defense. Corey Liuget better have that middle plugged up and hit Terrelle Pryor a few times. Time to add to his sack totals and shut down the Oakland Raiders offense.

I listened to that entire interview, Corey’s a really smart guy. Anyone hear Mike Harris interview yesterday on Scott & BR? He’s not so smart, and not much of a interview.

    • Ernie Padaon

hahahahaa…. i missed it. will have to look it up

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

he seemed a bit shy and gave really really vague answers and had them stumbling a bit.

        • Calman21

He is probably still scared of incurring the rabid fan hatred from last season.

  • Gunnar Martin

Corey’s goin beast mode this week

  • joerockt

Funny that with all these Raider articles, the Raider trolls have been pretty quiet. Must be scurrrred. Rivers will light up that defense and they know it.

    • Angel

Trolls. Hahah. I’ve been reading the comments and I like the respect. Comments like we have to stop the run and how not to underestimate. Respect back at you guys. It’ll be a good game. So…. (Good game handshake)

      • Ernie Padaon

Wow… Does this ever happen? Respect

  • 12

    Hehe I love this

Last week with the Romo rattling, which Liuget did!!! Still laughing over Romo almost curling up into the fetus position before Liuget could get that sack and break his injured ribs for good LOL!!

    Now this..

    Let’s goooooooo!

    • Plunder

And it’s the Raiders fans that get a bad wrap. Fuck you and everyone who shares your bullshit mentality.

People like you fucking suck. I hope you stub your toe really badly. Asshole.

      • Calman21

BTW the stubbing your toe comment was, for some reason, unbelievably funny to me.

      • joerockt

Not sure what you think the problem is with his comment, but hoping that someone stubs their toe really badly is just sick and sadistic. I mean really, you call yourself a human?

    • Calman21

Yea, can’t say I am happy about players getting injured. Leave the praising the injuries to the shitty fans from other teams….plus Karma is a bitch. Also, not saying fans from all other teams are shitty but we all have our asshats.

      • Stefanie Smith

10 stars for Calman21. Call me a wimp and a sissy.. I can’t stand seeing any of these guys get injured. It about kills me. And you are so right. Karma is a bitch. We don’t need to take somebody out to win a stinking football game. It’s wrong,

    • Stefanie Smith

That guy you are laughing at getting torn to pieces is somebody’s husband and a kid’s father. No, it’s not friggin funny if Romo’s ribs were busted.

      • joerockt

LOL. Stefanie, you make me laugh for all the wrong reasons.

        • Stefanie Smith

Well, don’t know how to take it, but glad you are laughing and not crying.

  • Ambitoos

Our Defense is ranked #25 at stopping the run. I hope we improve this week because they will run on us.

  • Rob Base

Get em dogg! Too Liuget to quit!

  • android2013

Te’o youre up buddy, time to teach this old farts on the defense how to pursuit whoever has the ball, get Pryor, no1 knows a damn thing how to stop a mobile scrambling QB on this defense( example Vick week 2, Locker week 3).

    Show em how its done!

    • Stefanie Smith

Actually most of the D is now one grade older from diapers. Most aren’t old, unless you mean Weddle. If you do mean Weddle, then all I can say is, grrrrrrrr!

    • Calman21

I almost wanna say JJ gets the first sack.

      • Peter Thompson

JJ, English, Keiser, Tourek… It’s a tough call, for sure.. hahahaha.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Funniest thing Corey said, when Darren asked him who was being TP in practice this week and he said “Check down Charlie”, Darren brought up Clipboard Jesus and you could hear Corey laugh but they call him Check down Charlie.

    • Ernie Padaon

hahaha… was just listening to that.. definitely a good interview

    • veazy

I can’t believe I can’t find any footage of Liuget in college playing against OSU. That would’ve been something nice to watch before the actual game.

  • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Glad to see the team enthusiastic about beating the faiders. Hope the Bolts pound some sense into the cross bones declining organization. Dont underestimate them though! This is always a tough game to play and a crucial win. AFC West is no joke. Stay focused and get the job done.

    • Pridenpoise

I love how you people think the Dolts are anything special, face facts Denver is the class of the Division, and the Chiefs defence looks pretty good, and the Dolts will have their usual nap in a few more weeks. Also the Raiders are not going to be the pushovers everyone thought.

      • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Didn’t say pushovers at all. Just happy to to see The BOLTS excited to play against a divisional rival. Raiders will have a lot of cap space next year but don’t believe they will use it wisely. Faiders will continue the decline into utter darkness with the great Al Davis. Will be a good game and I’m looking forward to it. Faid on!

        • Pridenpoise

At least when the RAIDERS get good players we lock them up,unlike the Dolts who watch as all of their talent flourishes on other teams, so if you want to talk wise, well let’s just say the Dolts would never be accused of that.

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Seen a lot of talent leave you are right. But right about now I’m feeling very positive about The San Diego Chargers and the steps they have taken to be better. Raiders lost their way when good old Al Davis lost his football mojo then passed away. I dont feel bad for your team at all because like they say “Karma is a bitch” yall have been living in the past for a while now and well maybe one day your team will find its way again. But…for now The Chargers sure seem to have found their way and they are only becoming better. BOLT UP!

          • Pridenpoise

It’s week 4 and the Dolts are 2-2 so I think the jury is still out on how good they are, and everyone knows they die in November. I guess that’s why they have NEVER won a Super Bowl.

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Early in the season indeed. Every injury that has happened the next man up has stepped up. This team has responded in a positive way. Great things are happening here in the Sunny SouthSide border town. Chargers are about to shed light to this in just about an our from right now. When the light turns on the roaches flee from their black holes.

          • Pridenpoise

You should look in a mirror before you start commenting on who the roaches are.

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

            Good one! LOL!

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Congratulations on your win. I’ll eat crow. A win is a win and your team got it tonight.

  • arnie

I like this. It’s a out time Charger players gain confidence and start talking smack.

    • Peter Thompson

  • Bill Nichols

Love the pattern we are starting to see with Cory, hell, he is giving the whole D incentive to stand up and play some hard hitting ball. I can see Manti’ playing spy role during a bunch of the game. Good time for him to get his “hit” on. Loving the new ‘tude, can’t remember the last time we talked shit, and of course I love me some “shit” talking hehe….. Damn it’s going to be midnight before they kick off this game here in Austin, gonna have to take a nap :). Come on Cory, gettcha sum…. Bolt Up!!

  • Cgoodness13

Playing the raiders is a waiting game, you can keep scoring and laugh at them attempting to catch up and wait the game out, or just wait for their starters to all get injured (usually takes a quarter or 2)

    • Tim Brown rice

How did that plan work out for you guys?…….Go Raiders!!

  • Ambitoos

I was worried about our pass defense being ranked #28 until I noticed the Broncos are ranked #29.

With all the trades going on I really hope Telesco makes some kind of move.

We have Jarrett Johnson a good OLB but not the best pass rusher
Larry English a 1st Round bust
Tourek Williams a 6th Round pick
    Kiesar practice squad player

  • Prometheus

Chargettes are expected to wins this game. all pressure is on them.

    • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Its sad that you dont expect anything from your faideretts. Your right though about the Chargers having pressure to win. They have to keep up with the rest of the AFC West teams who expect to win, except your team.

      • Philip Rivers’ eternal sadness

It’s sad that your team got beat by the “faideretts”, no? Go Raiders!

        • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Not as bad as your eternal sadness. We bounce back.

          • Ryan Leaf sent me

We played one of the best defenses with 3rd stringers starting on our o-line and were in the game and even controlling it until more o-line injuries had Pryor running for his life. Let’s see what slow ass Philip rivers does when they play the Chiefs. I would bet there would be some crying and some interceptions….It’s what Rivers does best.

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Chargers just did that last night. We bounce back. Time to get on a roll now. BOLT UP!

          • Chargers’ empty trophy case

You bounce back. I got it. Good stuff. Thundercats ho!

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Wow! That case is nice. Love the Thundercats to. Good stuff. Still in it to win it. STAY BOLTED UP!

          • Norv Tina Turner

Glad you like the case. Don’t worry, it will still look the same for many years. Wouldn’t want any trophies to clutter it up.

          • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

So you say. I say it’s missing a Championship from 1963 and at least three in the near future under the leadership of Tom Telesco and Mike McCoy. They know football and although Dennis Allen might know football your general manager might as well be AJ Smith. Good luck with that.

          • Manning’s expanding forehead

Thank you for the good luck wishes, I am sure they are sincere. I feel things are finally on the upswing in Oakland especially with the cap space we will have next year. Considering most of this years’ salary is paying guys who aren’t even on our team I think this team has shown a lot, and the free agents we picked up have played well which says a lot about our general manager. But that is just my opinion. Anyways, I actually hope you guys beat the Broncos when you play them. And I hope the Chiefs beat the Broncos with that defense.
