Slowing Down Cowboys RB Demarco Murray

Sep 22, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray (29) runs the ball against the St. Louis Rams in the third quarter at AT

The San Diego Chargers are likely going to put their focus on stopping Demarco Murray in this game. He finished the game last week with 175 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. He was a playmaker and will get the attention of the guys up front.

The Chargers have kept their focus on stopping the run this season. They have had to face backs like Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Lesean McCoy and Chris Johnson early this year and now they get Demarco Murray. Another tough task for the Chargers, but the Chargers will likely put a ton of guys up in the box.

Even if the Chargers place a ton of guys in the box, it doesn’t mean that they will be able to slow the run game down. After the first 3 games of the season, the Chargers are ranked 28th in stopping the run.

The defense has been struggling!!! At least find a way to stop something on defense.
