Which Direction Do The Chargers Run The Ball?

Ever wonder which direction the San Diego Chargers were going to run the football? Just saw this chart and it seems pretty obvious where the Chargers will be running that football:

It sure seems like the Chargers are running that football right up the middle every single time. Despite having a road grater at right tackle, we want to stuff it right up the gut every time. And stuffed is what happens a lot.

Just wait till Philip hands off that football one more time. Danny Woodhead, Ronnie Brown and Ryan Mathews will be looking to run it right up the middle. It likely will come out of the shotgun formation also.

I’m going to throw stones Ernie. MM said. “..We’re gong to do what is best for the football team…” RM24 has had his longest runs off the edges. Now tell me again, how running up the middle,” is best for the football team”?

Given the WR’s are having so many problems getting separation, and we are short handed with little speed on the outside, why doesn’t Whiz take advantage of more two TE sets? Gates and Green would pose big time mismatches! Green also has WR speed. Phillips is the better blocker and is a decent threat catching the ball.

Where is Tutu? I haven’t noticed him at all!

that would be a little too creative for the Chargers to actually use Green more than a handful of times or run to the right. Remember Ronnie Harmon? Was only used on 3rd downs when he could’ve been used all of the time. It was crazy then and is crazy now. But, everything you’ve said is what I’ve been screaming all year.
