D.J. Fluker, Donald Butler Practice Update

San Diego Chargers RT D.J. Fluker and Donald Butler are bother participating in practice. Both missed the game against the Tennessee Titans last week and having them on the field could have been the difference from winning and losing.

Butler did see a little action on Sunday. but that was more because we needed bodies and the coaches made a stupid mistake turning in their inactive roster.

It will be huge to get these guys on the field. We have no depth on the roster and having any quality players out is big. We need this win against the Cowboys.

Manti Teo’s legendary career starts in 4 days, can’t wait

      • Derek

I hope he can contribute to our turnover ratio

      • tubbs45

I ready to see what the kids got. Hope he destroys it in there!!!

  • Derek

Dunlap is still not practicing, Demarcus ware vs mike Harris…… Fuck! I haven’t found out what’s going on with shareece we need him jonny Patrick is not able to cover. If our offense can’t control the game we won’t win. This would be a tough game even if everybody was healthy

    • Tyreece Kaete Sr.

Heck wheres M Cromartie they should bring him off the practice squad he ran a 4.3 he could cover

  • tubbs45

I just hope we come out swinging. We need all hands on deck and a full focused effort for 4 quarters. you get the opportunity to pick up 7 instead of 3 or punting (especially when we our on the other side of the 50) I hope we take some chance to WIN the game not, Not lose!!!

  • Louie Cañedo

We need EVERYONE just to have a chance in these games. We are so lacking in depth that if one guy goes down our chances of winning also go down considerably

This is a good sign, i have to give it up though Mike Harris did good job filling in. And i’m eager to see what Ohrnberger is made of at LT. I hope i don’t regret it, because Troutman will be in at LG. However they have re-signed Steve Schiling, so at least they are addressing the problem up-front. Now getting D Butler back along with Manti, should give us a good rotation in the middle. Walker an Gachkar showed up. Any pressure that can be created up front will only help Freeney do what he does. On the back side, it’s a mess. Weddle and Addae seem to be the only bright spots, while we still await the return of Taylor. But to be honest, Pags really, really, REALLY, needs to play more bump-n-run coverage. We know they are going to throw to Dez, disrupt the timing and double him. And for crying out loud DON’T PLAY ZONE ON WITTEN!

    Go Bolts!

You are saying that Ohrnberger is going to play Left Tackle? Why wouldn’t Harris play Left Tackle if Fluker is back? Maybe Dunlap will be OK come Sunday? Have they ruled him out already?

      • arnie

As of right now Rinehart and Clary are out, that leaves two holes at Guard. Dunlap may not play, it’s probably going to be a game time decision. When they signed Schilling, as back-up that tells me they need to set the left side, in practice, right now.
I mentioned this in the off-season, Harris played RT his entire time at UCLA, like Ohrnberger, who played LT at Penn State as a Senior, is better suited for the job if King can’t go. Harris also played RG so he can slide inside and let Fluker play RT. Take that with a grain of salt.

        • Nick in PB

OK… that makes some sense. I think it’s much easier to play on the side you are familiar with. We will see.

    • Tyreece Kaete Sr.

Agreed i was wondering why they didn’t put Sharese Wright & Cox in press heck we even have Rich Marshall now

  • Tyreece Kaete Sr.

Where’s M Cromartie, he ran a 4.3 so he has the speed to cover WR, bring him in off the Practice Squad

  • Tyreece Kaete Sr.

Put E Royal at CB & moved Aijurritutu up, after all when he was a rook he was solid

  • Michael Popowich

    Outstanding news!
