The Chiefs Are Pretty Good. There I Said It.

Those Kansas City Chiefs are actually pretty good. I will admit it now. Alex Smith is making an impact on that roster and Andy Reid has them doing good things. They are 3-0 and will be challenging for a playoff spot this year. They beat down the Philadelphia Eagles today and I thought the Eagles were a pretty decent team. It looks like the Eagles have fallen back to the planet, but the Chiefs are creeping upward and not getting the attention that they deserve.

They finally have caught my eye. They already have a better record than last season and they are looking for a lot more. They have talented players at the skill positions and they don’t have Matt Cassel to bring them down. They will be a force.

We can’t worry too much about what they do, but it would be dumb to not be aware of the things that they are doing. We could have two 3-0 teams in this division after this week, so we have to keep pace with them all.

And yet I feel like ESPN will still be down-playing the Chiefs. But that’s fine, us fans know how good this team is

    • sidibeke

All the better. But the “experts” at ESPN are noticing. 3 out of 4 picked KC to win this game.

  • sidibeke

As a Chiefs fan, thanks for noticing Ernie. BTW, nice to see Rivers back on his game. Looking forward to the AFC West being the force it once was.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

you are telling us… we have been waiting to see him back on his game as well. should be a fun battle when we get together.

    • Alex Pitrofsky

Screw off. I don’t care if you’retrying to be nice. No no no. FUCK The Broncos, FUCK the Chiefs, and FUCK the Raiders. Now get out of here

      • sidibeke

And Fuck the Bolts. Thinking Houston will be good for 3 sacks of Rivers per game. Looking forward to the ass whoopin’ KC will lay down.

      • PunjabiPete

And this, my Chiefs fan friends, is why no one likes the San Diego Chargers. Phillip Rivers is a crybaby, and so are their fans. Bunch of whiny ass little babies. Phillip Rivers sucks, Antonio Gates needs Nutrisystem and Metamucil, and I hope Poe set up camp in the Chargers’ backfield.

        • Alex Pitrofsky

Can’t wait to lay you guys. It’s gonna be two free wins. You guys think you’re the shot after winning three games!!! Lets nt forget your record last year. You made the Raiders look good. You guys are the shithole of the NFL

          • PunjabiPete

You can’t wait to lay a bunch of guys? Well, I support your lifestyle, even though I don’t agree with it. We’ll continue being the “shithole of the NFL” all the way to the playoffs. In the meantime Phyllis Rivers and Antonio “never met a hot plate I didn’t like” Gates will keep getting older and lamer. Boy that Matthews is gonna be good though, huh?

          • Stefanie Smith

Hey, I am a Chargers fan forever, but the Metamucil for Gates and the “I support your lifestyle” comment was hilarious! I spit out my coffee from laughing.

          • JoseSD

Funny how your boy Eric Berry and all your linebackers can’t keep up with “hot plate” Gates (very clever and witty ). Gates made Berry his bitch burned him for 3 TDs and many first downs. Don’tget a big head cause you beat the Jags, a team with no QB, Cowboys the most overhyped team in the league and game manager Alex Smith could only get one TD against the worst secondary in the NFL. The defense is the only thing keeping the Chiefs competitive

          • PunjabiPete

The defense for the longest time was the only thing keeping the Ravens competitive. How’d that work out last year?

I will withhold any and all further trash talk until we play, and will let our team speak for themselves.

          • JoseSD

Yeah it was all the defense for the Ravens, it had nothing to do with Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Vonta Leach, Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Dennis Pitta,, Bryant Mckinnie, Matt Birk, and Michael Oher. The Chiefs however have the same team from last year that took 9 games to have a lead, not win, just lead during a game. And you chiefs fans think you’re going to the playoffs by adding Alex Smith and Andy Reid who couldn’t lead the “Dream Team”. The chargers started at 3-1 last year. All im saying is curb your excitement Chiefs fans, you haven’t beat anyone real significant playoff teams yet. And you were lucky the Chargers laid down the blueprint on how to beat Chip Kelly’s high flying eagles the week before

          • PunjabiPete

I read your response thinking “this guy has a good argument, I will concede he may be right” until I read “same team from last year”. You can log off and delete your account now. The only thing the Chargers lay down is lay down the lead so that Houston can pick it up because they were still playing football instead of standing around revelling in the smug scent of their own farts.

          • JoseSD

With a name like “Punjabi” im sure you’re an expert on smelling bad. And with the exception of Eric Fisher and Alex Smith this IS the exact same team from last year on offense that couldn’t score. And great trade for Jenkins trading a big physical receiver with hands of stone for a small fast receiver with hands of stone. Face it you’re offense is terrible even with your pro bowl defenders, adding Robinson and Smith at CB and 4 first half turnovers you only won by 10. Its gonna take a lot more than the red walrus Reid to get the chiefs in the playoffs

          • PunjabiPete

I am neither from Punjab nor named Pete. I chose that name to weed out bigoted morons. See? It’s working! Donnie Avery was not here last year. Kniles Davis was not here last year. Devito, Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson, Kelce, AJ Jenkins, the list goes on. Want me to keep going or are you done yet? I’ll take the Red Walrus Reid over whatever you have in North Tijuana any day.

          • JoseSD

Lmao,”North Tijuana” and I’m the bigot ? and I mentioned all those guys you did besides Devito and the rookie Davis won’t get too many carries with Charles there,Donnie Avery got a lot of yards against their terrible secondary but just one offensive td with all those turnovers and good field position. Face it no one has worried about the chiefs offense since Trent green, priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez and Will Shields were there. Chiefs should have won by 21 but Alex Smith won’t carry a team with his play at QB as we saw last night with manyopportunities he has trouble getting in the endzone

          • PunjabiPete

Yes, actually, if you take being called North Tijuana as an insult, you ARE a bigot. How is being affiliated with one of the most popular destinations in one of the most beautiful countries in the world make me a bigot? What if I meant that as a compliment? I’ve never been closer to lovely San Diego than West Phoenix, but all that area down there is stunningly beautiful. But sure, take it as an insult, champ.

That’s fine, everyone can not worry about the Chiefs all the way until we get to the playoffs; we’re used to it. We THRIVE on it.

“Chiefs should have won by 21″? Chargers should have WON against Houston. Don’t give if you can’t take, sir. We got in the endzone enough to win the game, and that’s enough for me.

          • JoseSD

Sure guy calling a city by the name of another is a compliment, I’m not calling Kansas City Obese Dallas cause they’re a bunch of fat Hicks no im complimenting their delicious bbq cause its so good you can’t help but get fat. And yes every team you’ve played is “the worst at something ” jaguars have the worst starting qb in the league, cowboys have the most overrated qb, and eagles have the worst secondary. I didn’t mean they were high flying eagles as a compliment, I was pointing out how “expert analysts” said they would put up 60 points against San Diego and the chargers showed the way to beat them and Kansas city followed the same gameplan. If they do win against san diego ill congratulate the chiefs. I doubt you’d do the same as you’ve posted homophobic comments “laying with men” and you’re ridiculous north Tijuana and stupid explanation of how its flattering you obviously lack the humility to do the same. Now fuck off Punjabipete and go back to you’re internet troll, I’m done with you

          • PunjabiPete

Glad you’re done with me. I am sad, though, that you lack reading comprehension when right after I made a joke about laying with men I noted I supported his lifestyle choice. An internet troll goads others with inflammatory comments; I have merely been defending myself and some of the other Chiefs fans on this very board. I have nothing against homosexuality, I was making an (admittedly possibly in poor taste) joke. If I offended you in that respect I am genuinely sorry.

I will concede BBQ makes you fat, and it IS delicious, so you are spot on there. I wasn’t aware Dallas was full of fat hicks, but thank you for the information. The Cowboys “most overrated QB” routinely passes for more than 4000 yards a season. If that is overrated, the Chiefs are DEFINITELY in trouble.

I just think it’s a little forward to assume we ONLY won against the Eagles because we copied off of your team. I’m not sure if you know this or not, but Andy Reid coached the Eagles for 14 seasons, and likely had some insights to their player personnel and tendencies, but sure, we ignored that and, like every week, the entire city of Kansas City went to the only Movin’ Pitcher booth once all the lights went out (you know they all shut off at 6 PM here) and watched in awe and reverence while the Chargers…. got their asses handed to them by Houston.

If San Diego wins, please feel free to insult me. Just make the insults original, and funny. Last week on my way in to work I cut some guy off, and he informed me to eat a bag of s— filled d—ks. I had so many questions, but he sped off before I could ask. It was original, thought provoking, and hilarious. Something you can aspire to.

Also, hate to be pedantic, but it’s “Now f— off Punjabipete and go back to YOUR cave, internet troll”. You’re insinuate’s I am the cave, when I think you mean go back to MY cave. A comma after ‘cave’ is needed because I’m assuming you are calling me a cave-dwelling internet troll. Internet is only spelled with one r. But other than that, I genuinely enjoy your passion and look forward to an exciting game.

          • JoseSD

That bag of dicks joke isn’t actually original at all its from one of Louis CK’s stand up special, so so congratulations on being one of the many people to steal his comedic material, as for you’re instead of your I should have read it before sending since autocorrect placed the wrong form of your, it’s pretty sad that you resort to pointing out grammar mistakes . And no I won’t look for you just to insult you, that seems more like your style

          • PunjabiPete

Well I didn’t say it, the gentleman in the other car did, amazing that in the English language, you can say something, and then OTHER people can say it too! I resorted to pointing out grammar mistakes because I was finished annihilating all of the other crap you squirted out in your post. I just felt like going the extra mile. I don’t know Louis CK, but I’ll look him (her?) up, because it was funny.

Anyway, I am constantly blamed for going off topic, and I’m almost guilty of doing it again! I feel like the Chiefs’ D matches up well against San Diego’s offense. I feel, based on how we played against 3 NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE TEAMS that we will hold your offense up, and that our offense, though inept by your standards, will do just enough to eke by with a win. Chiefs 24, SD 20.

          • PunjabiPete

So the Eagles were “high flying” when San Diego played them, but are now, 4 days later, a crap team? DOES NOT COMPUTE.

          • Stefanie Smith

It computes because no other NFL team had played them until SD did. KC at least had film to look at before they played on Thursday. Plus the media also reported a lot on how the Chargers were able to slow down the Eagles and that other teams were going to do it also.

When we went into Philly, there was NO sports analyst that gave the win to the Chargers. They all had this idea built up in their minds that Philly and Chip Kelly were going to rule the NFL.

Honestly, it was a toss up for me. Wish Philly would have won, because KC is in the AFC West, yet on the other side, glad this poster carrying goofball got knocked down a little. I mean, come on, when I saw those stupid Rocky posters on the side lines, it looked clownish.

          • PunjabiPete

Thank you for a reasoned argument, and I will concede your point, Stefanie. I honestly hadn’t thought of it like that, though I still think a lot of the victory had to do with Andy Reid’s experience. I will admit they probably took a very close look at some tape from that Charger/ Eagles game. I concur about the Rocky poster, I was like “WTF?!”

I really don’t see why there’s so much animosity; neither the Chiefs or the Chargers has a chance against the Broncos, so say all ESPN “analysts”… so really we are all arguing over who will be 2nd and 3rd. Raiders, of course, will drudge the bottom of the AFC West….

          • Tony Parker

After reading what u just wrote….very clear to me that you don’t know what your talking about.

          • PunjabiPete

Every team the Kansas City Chiefs play had an off day, or is the “worst in the league” when they lose. What will you say if we beat you?

          • Stefanie Smith

If Philly is classified as having the worst secondary in the NFL- Alex Smith is recorded as getting 0 (zero) TDs for that game. I went and looked.

          • JoseSD

It’s an indication of how bad the Chiefs offense is, they had 4 turnovers the first half and only scored one TD on offense and their games against the jaguars and cowboys were very close. But they think they’re the next best thing cause they’re 3-0

          • PunjabiPete

            28-2 is close?

          • PunjabiPete

Well then mathematically they CANNOT be the worst secondary. We scored more touchdowns on offense against the Jaguars, so the argument could be made, if we have the worst offense that THEY are the worst secondary in football.

          • Alex Pitrofsky

Not only are the Chiefs the shithole of the NFL, but Kansas City is the shithole of America. You’re a fucking bitch. How can you even think about talking shit after going 2-14

          • PunjabiPete

Brennan Rannsdell is that you?! LOL. We can talk shit because right now our record is better than yours. That’s how. We’re also ranked higher on every NFL Power ranking out there than your team is. If it weren’t for Kansas City being one of the major rail hubs to the west your city wouldn’t exist. Kansas City is #1 for BBQ, and right now is tied for the #1 record in the National Football League. It’s fans also don’t call other people “fucking bitch” when they lose an argument. That’s how I can think of talking shit. You lose, so sorry.

        • Bill Nichols

We don’t want you fucks to “like” us you moron. What are you three dumb ass? And you skull fucks ought to have a half assed team with all the high freaking draft picks you have accumulated over the past few years. Shut your shit smelling pie hole, and you better hope to god Alex doesn’t get a hang nail. If so, you will back with the faiders in a weeks time. Bolt Up ASSHOLES!!

          • PunjabiPete

Charming, much as I expect from most Chargers fans. I am not 3, though it would appear that emotionally SOMEONE here is. I’ll leave your site and go back to my own team, where it’s a little more civil and grunts don’t count as reasoned debate. Au Revoir.

    • Calman21

I am a Chargers fan and some of these people are just moronic. The Chiefs defense looked great last night. What I would be concerned with is their offense having trouble moving the ball against a horrible defense. Charles looked really good though. AFC West (minus Oakland) should be pretty good this year…at the very least it shouldn’t be considered the weakest in the NFL this year.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

He looked auight… He had 26 yards on ten carries to start out, and didn’t seem to break anything off until the game was pretty much decided. Didn’t see Bowe do much either. Houston was a madman though! Gotta give props where they are deserved. But, yeah… what was with the offense? I expected more, from all the hype.

        • ……ChiefsFan……

I didn’t know anyone was “hyping” the offense. Everyone on AA is concerned about the O, and celebrating the D. If you thought this offense was supposed to be special, that’s on you.

        • Calman21

Yea, but he also had a ton of passes thrown his way. 92 rushing, 80 yards receiving. That is roughly 40% of the total offense for the game. Also, he was the only offensive member to find the endzone. Avery was the only other guy who did anything significant on offense. He has accounted for roughly 1/3 of the offense this season. I figured Smith wasn’t going to really change much…but as long as their defense keeps playing well it won’t matter that Smith is really just a game manager.

  • 619chargers4life

    Nooooo !!!!!!!!

  • Ouch

Couldn’t disagree more. Field goals in the redzone instead of td’s. Phillys D played well in spurts, but then ended up losing this, closer than it should have been, game. I would be very concerned if I was a KC fan. They better start dominating and scoring Td’s off of turnovers otherwise just forget this season.

    • Conman23

Oh… I’m sorry, Phillip Rivers isn’t our QB so we don’t have a ton to worry about at the moment. Also, that 3-0 record, REALLY worrisome. How’s that 1-1 treating you guys right now?

      • Stefanie Smith

Lame comeback, seeing that only KC and the Eagles have played 3 games.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Smith doesn’t throw INT’s.. but, he doesn’t really throw anything over 15 – 20 yards, does he?

        • Conman23

Yeah but I see him winning three games, as opposed to ONE… And no, it won’t go up to two when the Titans come to visit on Sunday ;)

      • RussinSactown

I might worry about being 1-1 if the season ended next week. But there’s still a lot of football to be played. Rather than making your guesses based on playing the baby level of Madden, let’s just see how the rest of the season works out.

  • arnie

Yes they are. They beat the Jags, THE JAGS. A cowboys team that plays until hopefully their “talent” get’s a win, and a Philly team that the Chargers showed them how to beat.
However at the end of the day, they are 3-0 congratulations, enjoy it. It won’t last long.

    • Conman23

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Conman23

Now that my laughing is out of the way, was it the Chargers or Chiefs that caused 5 turnovers against the Eagles? Was it the Chargers or Chiefs that had 5 sacks against the Eagles? Was it the Chargers or Chiefs that beat the Eagles by two scores? Face it arnie, when it comes down to it, the Chiefs are a MUCH better team than the Chargers, and that’ll show when they go head to head. Enjoy being 1-2 on Sunday! We’ll keep our 3-0 team ;)

      • Brandon Reisinger

Let’s wait till our head to heads to make that determination. Both teams are much improved. However I don’t think your offense can keep up with PR slinging the ball all over the place. Gotta shore up this red zone deficiencies. Cause we will be red hot when we get down there with 1/2 the talent at skilled positions.

        • Conman23

Ummm… This IS Phillip Rivers we’re talking about right? With Hali, Houston, and Poe in his face, I don’t see him throwing less than 3 picks

        • superman_25_58

Hate to burst your bubble but your Receiving Corps doesn’t stand a chance!

          • arnie

            That’s what Philly said.

          • superman_25_58

Philly’s Defense is nothing lmfao! When you all play us you will know what a good defense actually looks like!

        • ……ChiefsFan……

PR IS A GIRL! A crybaby, not an NFL player, the NFL is for men.

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Actually, he was the offensive player of the week for the entire AFC. But, you can call him Mr. Rivers, son.

          • w1LLz

That crybaby girl has owned your Chiefs for the past 7 years. All BS aside, Chiefs are off to a hot start but I don’t think anyone outside of KC thinks that these guys are world beaters especially after the Bolts stomp a mudhole in their chests, like usual. The only team on our radar is the Broncos, PERIOD. The Chefs will be back in the basement soon enough. 2-14 to playoff contenders? GTFO!!

        • PunjabiPete

While I agree that Phillip Rivers is a note of concern, the beauty of this Chiefs team is they don’t HAVE to keep up with them… I feel like our defense will give most NFL teams fits. I also know that as good (great?) as PR is or can be, like ANY NFL QB he can get flustered, and that seems to be what Sutton’s D is all about (aboot if you’re Canadian).

          • Tony Parker

in Canada its still “about”. don’t try to make yourself look stupid by taking shots at Canadians, eh! GO CHIEFS!

          • PunjabiPete

I was trying to lighten the mood, if I thought I could get a Canadian citizenship I’d load up a truck and drive to Winnipeg or Edmonton TODAY. So much get’s lost in the translation from spoken humor to text… I have a newfound respect for satire writers! I have nothing but respect for a country that has universal healthcare and treats it’s citizens like human beings; you are mistaken in thinking I would ever insult them. I wrote a letter asking if I could have Ted Cruz’ old citizenship, fingers crossed!

          • Tony Parker

Winnipeg or Edmonton??? you really don’t know Canada, do u? Actually Edmonton not too bad. your right about the translation thing. just making sure u kept the shots at the chargers, not us proud Canadians.
            From Calgary, Ab, GO CHIEFS!

          • PunjabiPete

Winnipeg because I hate heat. I HATE it, and I heard Central Canada is nice and cool from October through early September LOL… I don’t care for large cities, easier to run into no talent douchemasters, but I want high speed internet, so yeah, WInnipeg. Or Sasketoon. I’m not a hockey fan, but I love me some CFL!

      • Larry Devore

Was it the Chargers or Chiefs that held Philly to 16 points?

        • Alex Pitrofsky

YOU’VE BEATEN THE JAGUARS AND THE COWBOYS AND YOU GUYS TJJNK YOU’RE THE SHIT!!!!!!! Wait until you play a real team you little bitch

          • Brennan Ransdell

1-2. Nuf said. Never have said, nor do most Chiefs fans think, “we’re the shit.” That said, Chargers aren’t looking like a “real team” to a great degree this season now are they?

          • Caleb Wylie

With all due respect, but chargers are NO real team

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

You only won because they let you hang around. Alex Smith didn’t look good at all.

        • davacho

was it the chargers or chiefs that put up 33 pts?

          • arnie

You forgot to mention, Rivers “ACTUALLY” threw for 3TD’s, Smith 0.

          • Conman23

Just like your ACTUAL undefeated record… Oh wait! That’s the Chiefs, not the Chargers!

          • PunjabiPete

            Zing!

          • arnie

Hear that? It’s applause for your record, that was built on 3 teams that haven’t seen that playoffs in over decade between them. The facts show teams that beat .500 teams and below, do not do well against the top 8 teams in the league. Case in point, Texans were a playoff team, Chargers lost. You cannot continue to feed Jamal Charles the ball and expect him to score “ALL” your points. Smith will have to throw more than 1TD a game, which is his average. He threw none against Philly, and could not capitalize on the opportunity the chiefs defense gave him. And now you will gone on to celebrate an awesome victory over “The Cleveland Browns?”
It’s one thing to dominate the jags, 48-2, or the Cowboys 45-17, the facts are all this will be short lived. You need a quarter back, that can put points on the board, unfortunately they live in Denver, and San Diego.
            ZING!

          • PunjabiPete

with all due respect, jamaal Charles hasn’t touched the ball all that much until the 4th quarter of each game… so, I feel like we will do alright. Smith’s average of 1 TD a game was good enough to go to the NFC Championship game a couple years ago, so I’ll take it.

          • w1LLz

I remember a few years back, the Broncos started 6-0. How did that end again?

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

A playoff team would have scored TD’s, not FG’s. Just sayin’.

        • PunjabiPete

We won’t know until week 17 whether or not that’s true.

    • superman_25_58

Who have you beat? O that’s right Eagles by 3? Let Houston have the biggest comeback ever in Texans franchise history! This won’t be happening to the Chiefs this year!

      • Cgoodness13

You mean with a mediocre QB and washed up predictiblebHC? Ya remember everything espn is saying about you guys, they said about us last year, except we have a QB who can actually play unlike yours who needs a great coach to be decent

        • Nick in PB

Uh, Alex Smith went through 3 coaches before he was decent. I’m not saying that coaching isn’t a big part of QB play, because it is but your comment makes no sense.

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Whoah, Nick… he’s one of us.. friendly fire.. hahaha!

          • Nick in PB

My bad… I was getting caught up. Sorry Cgoodness, I totally had you on the wrong side there.

          • Brennan Ransdell

Don’t apologize for something that’s true. His comment makes no sense! Last time I checked, AS is actually rated better than Rivers over the past year, so who exactly is a QB that can’t play?

      • Gunnar Martin

We put up seven more points against them than you guys did, with two fumbles of our own in the redzone. Your offense could only put up 9 points of their own with your defense forcing FOUR turnovers in the first half. And this is the terrible Eagles defense we’re talking about. KC’s offense obviously isn’t as great as everybody says it is.

        • superman_25_58

7 more points but still only won by 3 if I’m not mistaking! We won by 10 and we don’t have to put up a shit ton of points when the defense has been in Beast Mode this season only allowing a total of 2 points to the Jags and 16 points to the “high flying offenses” of the Cowboys and the Eagles. They may not be great yet bc our team is young and there is new pieces everywhere on offense along with new coaches, staff, and playbooks. We are beating teams now wait til our offense finally gels together. The Chiefs offense is far from great but our Defense is damn good and Phyllis Rivers will throw a few picks this year to the Chiefs.

    • PunjabiPete

That’s right, that’s all you got. Haters gonna hate “Oh those were all bad teams” is all you have. Looking forward to seeing what you have to say when KC comes and smashes the bolts. We have to play who is on the schedule, pal. We can’t tell the Jags “well you guys suck so we are going to not play you this week so we don’t get made fun of”… Houston would have said the same to you guys. Zing!

      • arnie

Hold that thought, I’ll save some hater-Aid for you when the Charges whoop the chefs.

        • PunjabiPete

If the Chargers beat the Chiefs I will be the FIRST one on here humbly begging for forgiveness and touting how you guys were right; I don’t think I will have to though. To each his own, I’m not expecting you or any other Bolts fan to kowtow (cowtow?) to the Chiefs

          • w1LLz

Respect. Or as Ali G. would say reespeck. Trash talk aside, you guys have tough defense and I think both KC/SD games will be epic.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

      I friggin’ love you, man!

  • tubbs45

KC’s offense ain’t flashy, but steady and effective. Their Defense is pretty damn good, especially the secondary… Should be an excellent run for the afc west this year!

    • superman_25_58

Who do you have that is better than Dez Bryant, Tony Romo, Demarco Murray, Jason Whitten, Michael Vick, Shady McCoy, Brent Celek, Jason Avant and Desean Jackson?………………….. The answer is no one.

      • Larry Devore

don’t care. none of those teams are 3-0. Did they beat KC? NO they did not.

        • superman_25_58

I’m confused………… What’s your argument? I’m referring to the end of his statement “Bolts should be able to overcome the Defense…” and I’m assuming he is meaning that the Chargers offense will overcome our Chiefs defense. If this is the case than he needs meds bc no one on the Chargers roster is better than Desean Jackson, Dez Bryant, Shady McCoy etc! lol

  • Chiefs#1

Go fuck yourself charger fans! You all will see who the real team to beat in the AFC West and no it’s not those weak ass butt buddies of yours the donkeys! Go Chiefs 3-0!!!

    • CALiFORNiAkiD

      We beat the Eagles too.

    • http://www.standupforkids.org blackroseMD1

Obviously a Raider fan in disguise.

      • RussinSactown

That means he kidnapped someone to type this. Run little boy! Run!

        • http://www.standupforkids.org blackroseMD1

Holy crap…I just choked on my coffee. That was freaking hilarious, man.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

I predict before the season the Broncos, Chargers and Chiefs would all make the playoffs.

    The AFC West is back!

  • Chiefs#1

Go f*ck yourselves Charger fans! Your about to see who the real team to beat is in the AFC West, an no it’s not your donkey butt brothers… Go Chiefs!!!

    • Cgoodness13

Here we all are having a good time and wishing each other the best….then you show up

    • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

Chiefs#1 didn’t get to play with his toys today, so he’s in here trolling…

  • ioane

I hate to say it, but I have to agree. The Chiefs Defense has been very good, the defense is the reason why they are 3-0. They are finally putting it all together, which is going to make it tough on our Chargers. But just like Phillip Rivers, I welcome the Challenge. We have a pretty offense and they have a good defense, should be fun games to watch as always.

  • zak p

Great win for kc. I’m a charger fan and its great to see all the teams improving! So much for worst division in the nfl. But chiefs are good! I think its gonna come down to the cheifs and chargers for that last wild card spot! Go afc west! Lol

  • Cgoodness13

Here’s a message to the chiefs fans on here, it’s nice to see you guys posting respectful comments about both our teams, but the rest posting negative stuff can GTFO

    • Nick in PB

      Thank You Jesus!

      • Cgoodness13

        Clipboard lol

    • PunjabiPete

All I saw from us Chiefs fans were positive messages until Alex Petrovsky said something about laying dudes. Then we fired back. Come by the KC message boards and be somewhat respectful and you will have a much more positive experience.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Most of the respect that people had on here for Chiefs fans was lost when one of the writers from Arrowhead Addict posted a story about how they made a fake profile, and were lurking on this blog… people over there thought it was clever, apparently.

        • PunjabiPete

Well that is in poor taste if that’s what happened… I probably dislike the Chargers the most out of the AFC West opponents of the Chiefs, but there’s no reason to go about doing all of that. Just know that with every group of competent adults, simply by the law of averages, there will be a troll or two, but that does not represent our entire fan base. If you want to make it up to me, I guess we will trade Alex Smith for that whiny Phillip Rivers… :D

  • Ioane

The Chiefs has been playing well. But if they want to really make a run at the Playoffs, they need to generate some offense. I’m a bit surprised by there lack of offense, they have some nice pieces on that side of the ball.

The Chiefs generated 5 turnovers with 4 coming from the defense and the Eagles were still in the game.

    • Calman21

Chiefs D is solid. Their offense, on the other hand, just looks bad outside of Charles.

  • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

Ernie, why??? 3 games in and now you want to let these guys get swollen heads…Let’s see how good they are when they play the Giants or the Texans……oh yeah, and for the rest trolling in here trying to talk shit go find my comment reply to Chiefs#1, take his candyass with you and go play nice together with his toys…..

    • Larry Devore

wow a phillip rivers clone, b!tching and moaning. someone needs a timeout, go sit in the corner crying man

      • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

larry, go eat a bag of dicks….sick of u trolls….i don’t give 2 shits about Kansas City Queefs fans or any other AFC West Rival’s fans…y’all can go fuck yourselves!

  • freshmeat62

Sorry Charger fans, but your ownership wasted all of that talent the Chargers had, by hanging on to Norv Turner all of those years. Too bad, but your time has passed.

    • Gunnar Martin

      Only temporarily…

  • Derek

The chiefs have a good defense that’s all I saw. Alex smith just doesn’t turn the ball over. And they rely on Jamal Charles n the stacked defense to make plays. The key to beating them is no turnovers. Jamal is playing hurt and isn’t a home run threat. I say just like the eagles we make alex throw it deep. He doesn’t have the guts or skill to do it. He scored no touchdowns last night, it was just letting the eagles gutsy all or nothing playbook that beat them. Yeah our defense is still getting it together but if we kill the YAC we can beat em.. The broncos… Our best shot is harrasing Peyton by beating up that rookie lt

    • CHIEFFANINAZ

So it’s ok for YOUR defense to ” still be getting it together” but not for our offense to do the same. Everybody is still learning the offense and will improve every game . Yes they do rely on jamaal and the defense the same as the chargers rely on Rivers. But if Jamal goes down it would seriously hurt our team …… But if Rivers goes down you guys are DONE. Good luck with Whitehurst or Sorensen

      • Derek

But that’s the thing you guys paid top dollar for a guy who’s only skill is not making turnovers. Yeah rivers does get interceptions because he tries to do too much at times but he contributes. Alex already is who he is the only way ur offense gets better is if the TE you drafted steps up. Ur right if rivers were to go down we’d be sunk but I promise we’d do better than ur chiefs last yr lol. Remember Andy settled for KC he wanted SD there’s a reason for that

        • Chiefs#1

Show me one link on any website that even gives any indication Reid wanted to go to SD… Good luck with that one. Also, don’t be a crybaby bitch because your HC was a OC from the donkeys who was only successful bc his QB was Manning. FYI Mcoy was a QB coach for the Panthers just a few years ago, 2006-2008. And I think we both know how good the panthers QB was then… Bitch!

  • Calman21

Their defense is pretty good. Their offense really wasn’t very good outside of Charles. Chiefs are going to have to seriously lean on their defense to win this year…they don’t have a high scoring capability.

  • joerockt

Ernie, quit doing this shit. There’s no reason to bring the KC trolls over here. I’m done here if I see another blog giving an AFC west team props. Fuck ALL of those guys. Save this shit for your other blog.

    • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

I thought this was better than UT, now this is starting to be a trend for Ernie….I hope u got your rocks of Ernie….&I don’t want to hear your shit got hacked…This makes u look like one of those guys that instigates shit, & when it gets heated, you are the 1st to run…..

  • Nick in PB

Wow, I use to think the Chiefs fans had some class. Or maybe it’s a few that don’t. Let’s give credit where credit is due. Both teams were brought down in the recent years by bad coaching. Both teams will do much better with the changes they made. Both teams made good off season acquisitions and are much improved. The Chiefs had more cap room to wheel and deal and they replaced a turnover machine with a reliable QB. The Chiefs D is legit. The Chargers D is still a work in progress. As a Charger fan, I am looking forward to this season more than any the past 3 years. Chiefs fans should do the same. But now the Chiefs fans are blowing their horns on a Charger blog site… reminds me of Raider fans and that’s not good. Can you say classless!

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

      Werd.

    • Sergio Quintero

The chiefs are good in an old fashioned kind of way, good defense, run the football & a QB who is game manager. They play one way, from ahead, if they get 2 scores down it gets really uncomfortable for them, it they have score 30 like they probably have to do against the Broncos it doesn’t look good.

They remind me of the Bengals, good pieces but when facing one top 6 teams I just don’t see much of a chance of raising their level of play.

I will give major props to Justin Houston & Sean Smith those guys are whole lot better than I thought, I think we have to admit Smith would have been a better signing than Derek Cox.

In terms of KC fans, I have read arrowhead pride a few times, there is quite a bit of tension against the chargers for 2004-11 run, and an absolute despise of Rivers. So no surprises on the smack talk.

      • Nick in PB

The thing is, this article was shining a good light on the Chiefs. I just think it was classless for the Chiefs fans to come on our board and start talking crap. Just reminded me of senseless Raider fans. I always thought of the Chiefs as more of a friendly rivalry. Chiefs have a lot to be happy about right now but talking smack is childish.

Bunch of ZERO td throwing bitches if you ask me. Give us the amount of turnovers you fucks had and
we would blow ANYONE out. Get a grip monkey fucks, you are still losers, even with all those damn high draft picks over the past few years. Kansas City, what, you people take turns shoving corn cobs up each others assholes at your tail gating sword fights. Can’t wait to stomp the corn outta you. Bolt Up!!

Chiefs fans are classless? Hmm. Ah well. Sorry, this is your site, I’ll leave you to it. If you ever want to post something coherent on Arrowhead Addict, please feel free to do so. We like talking football, and are generally okay with GOOD NATURED smack.

      Peace,

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

What did you guys think about that play where Charles lowered his head, and his helmet came off? What is that rule on that again? It looked a lot like that Trent Richardson play, where he lowered his head, and plowed that dude. I heard Mayock say it was legal, but I thought when the runner lowers, and leads with his head like that they were going to call a penalty, or hand out a fine. Not sure what made it legal… any thoughts on that?

    • Stefanie Smith

Jackie Battle got the first fine this week for that. Maybe another fine for Charles will be forthcoming. Fines for week 2 games are just coming out now, so I am guessing that any fines for Week 3 games will be next Friday or thereabouts.

  • RZ

Let’s just worry about the Chefs when it’s time.Until then who gives a fuck about them..I sure don’t!!

  • Michael Popowich

Our division looks tougher, but the only team I’m watching are the Donks. Chiefs are still another Andy Reid team, and the Faiders, well no comment. Go Chargers!

  • Bill Nichols

Bunch of ZERO td throwing bitches if you ask me. Give us the amount of turnovers you fucks had and we would blow ANYONE out. • Conman23

You won’t get those turnovers though… because you don’t have the Kansas City defense… How many points have you guys given up in the past two games? 2 and 16? Oh wait no! That’s the Chiefs defense! The Chargers D on the other hand: 30 and 31. Nice try Bill, but the only person shoving ANYTHING up their ass is that new linebacker you guys drafted, Manti Teo. Good luck with that season though Billy ;)

    • PunjabiPete

No one asked you. I will not give you a turnover to blow me. I will also refrain from gripping a “monkey fuck”, though I’m unsure what part of the anatomy on a monkey that is, you don’t specify which KIND of monkey, and I’m unsure even with that information where I would be able to get one. Do they sell those in San Diego? Maybe by the Tar Pits.

In Kansas City we DO take turns shoving corn cobs up eachother’s asses. Gotta have SOME way to season popcorn for when Charger fans come to Arrowhead… you guys are SO picky!

Learn a little more about KC; the corn and corn cob references are cliche, even if it’s physically and mathematically impossible for such insults to be beneath you. Are you, JoseSD and Alex PetrovIcantbelieveitsnotbutterski the same person?

      • Bill Nichols

        F U C K > KC

        • PunjabiPete

Ha ha ha! That actually made me laugh. Thanks, I needed that. Good luck next week and I hope SD wins, even though they seem to have (with the exception of Stefanie) overly passionate fans.

          • Bill Nichols

            Thanks, lol :)

  • NativeSanDiegan

What a read! Ernie gives some credit and a handful of us go f-bomb ballistic on a couple of visitors to our blog representing one of the greatest, and in most cases classiest and yet down to earth city and counties in the country (San Diego).
Tell me, how many of you f-bombers were even born in San Diego, grew up and earned multiple degrees there, worked in lower-income areas with troubled kids and families, and eventually had to move for career opportunities? Probably only one, because that’s my story. I’ve been a loyal Chargers fan since 1961. That doesn’t give me the right to throw out the vitriol first. Now I’ll admit to vividly describing the “Black Hole” to a Traitors fan on this very site until ChargerGirl Cindi reminded me to not forget my class.
Have you visited some of these cesspools which harbor NFL teams? Especially the funkier parts of town? I have. Oakland tops the list. Then you have Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Cleveland, Washington DC, Phoenix,… I could go on forever. Be thankful for where you live and our improving Chargers. When you hear from these deprived people who have never seen a beach with warm water, never enjoyed the beautiful weather, and most of all never been around so many beautiful people, have pity on them. And I have pity on those of you who think they must spread hate in order to prove themselves a Charger fan. I know, this is a blog where you can vent and cuss till the cows come home. But you don’t need to start with the foul mouth when we have a friendly visitor. I don’t know what right you have to vilify Ernie. He sure you got a spirited thread on this one. Isn’t that his job? Were it not for him, you wouldn’t have had this opportunity! And you call yourself a fan. I know you are by your other posts on this site. If it hurts your ego to associate with fans from elsewhere, you do have the right to stop reading a particular thread. Aloha
