60 Point Prediction vs the Chargers? Suck It!

The NFL Network and ESPN hyped up the Philadelphia Eagles a ton this week after they beat down the Washington Redskins to open the season. Some analysts like Michel Irvin were so bold to say that the Eagles were going to put up 60 points on the Chargers.

Absolutely no respect for the Chargers defense. Absolutely no respect for the Chargers offense. Just no respect!!!

Looks like someone better take notice around the league. The Chargers twitter fired back at Michael Irvin with this tweet:

If you are wondering if the Chargers defense heard about that bold prediction, check out the tweet from Donald Butler after the game:

Can we get a little respect? We lose to the Texans by a last second field goal and now beat the league’s latest toy.

Insane props to the Chargers twitter account! lol

We will only get respect when we blow out a respectable team. Till then they credit Phillys defense or Ed reeds absence or jake lockers ineptness

    • Ernie Padaon

sure seems that way.. we get no love

      • Derek

        Us and the Atlanta falcons

    • Ambitoos

You are right. I’m very concerned that our defense has given up 61 points in two games. If they don’t get that corrected, were not going anywhere this year. Our secondary is terrible.

      • Derek

This eagles game I put on desean being one of the fastest in the game. Against Houston yeah cox was fuckin up. Shareece is doing a ok job his first yr also bird is getting exploited often. Yes we had mistakes but I love that we bended but didn’t break. Red zone stops and forcing 3 and outs is a new thing for us. I see a defense that is steadily improving through 2 consecutive match ups with playoff contenders.

This is what happens, when you ride the jock of the NFC east and norv turner, without doing your research. Maybe that’s his job to be “outrageous” on the network, to generate ratings and create buzz, i don’t know. there are few more haters on that show, that need to step up and be exposed, cough*warrensapp*cough*brianbaldinger*cough..
Thank you Jamie Dukes. He is on record that he “..Believes in Philip Rivers…”

“NO EXCUSES! That’s the 2013 mantra for these Chargers:

The Eagles were a much worse team than our Chargers last season, at 4-12. Vick was not even sure to be the starter this year. This summer it was all about the poor WR depth Philly has. Their defense was horrible in 2012! They now have a new HC with a new system also. Philly’s pass D is very suspect. NO EXCUSES, PR and the entire offense must prove they can do it. Our starting front seven is supposed to be our strength. NO EXCUSES, they need to keep Shady McCoy in check! Desean Jackson is the only true WR threat they have. Vick will throw picks when rattled like most QB’s.

The power ranking narrative between them and us is polar opposite. Philly is the talk of the NFL while we are the forgotten. Sunday will be a chance to shut the pundits up for a day!

NO EXCUSES!! PR and crew must BOLT UP for 60 minutes!”

Feeling a bit like a prophet the day after. lol Not only did my mantra for the BOLTS ring true yesterday, MM echoed my sentiments pre and post game…—Great-Win-for-the-Organization/fbd7f038-da98-48d0-834c-d8e2a93fe36d

Myself and many other Charger fans need to heed his words and chill with all the reactionary bumbaclot crying over in game imperfection. “Rivers is gonna occasionally make mistakes, Mathews will too, I’ll make a bad call here and there, we’ve just got to overcome!”

Good game! On to the next. GO BOLTS

    • Derek

No excuses for the eagles either!! They weren’t a worse team. They just gave up mid season. Phillip doesn’t believe in that that’s y we didn’t. Desean Jackson, maclin, a plethora of able linemen shady McCoy, cox, Trent cole, Jason babin, celeck Kendricks Rodgers cromartie and namdi!!! Nah they were shooting for a Super Bowl last yr and as soon as they knew they couldn’t make the play offs they said fuck our fans and phoned it in for the remainder of the season. For that I hope the Lombardi never gets to Andy Reid’s hands.

      • Daryl Peek

No one made or is making excuses for Philly. “You are what your record is” All that other stuff is excuses!

  • Jordan

Also, props to Novak for hitting that game winner!. Not so much the soccer slide at the end lmao.

    • Ernie Padaon

    • Daryl Peek

Novak was clutch the whole game. 4 fairly long FG’s. No win without that.

  • veazy

Rivers must be glad to not be on the receiving end of a Nick Novak field goal for a win
