Texans S Ed Reed Will Not Play Tonight vs Chargers

The Ed Reed injury watch is over now. The Houston Texans safety is not expected to play tonight against our San Diego Chargers. That will give a little more relief for Philip Rivers to go over the top to his receivers.

Reed is one of the best ball hawks in the game, I don’t care how old he is.

Reed sitting on the sideline is a much better spot for us to see him than on the field. Shiloh Keo is the next man listed on the Texans depth chart. Rookie D.J. Swearinger also could see some action on defense.

The Chargers will have to protect the football against the Texans defense. We don’t need to give them any extra possessions and we need to put 7s on that scoreboard.

Sit down, Ed… I think there are some Texans lanyards that still need braiding ; )

Oh, by the way… I don’t want to see ANY strip-sacks tonight! That is all.

Peter, hey man do you have those links to online sites that show the game? gotta watch it at my office tonight. Thanks!

      • Peter Thompson

I don’t have them handy, as they are pinned to my laptop at home. I don’t remember which sites they were, honestly. Also, the article where FitzWilly listed them for me is gone now, as the site changed formats. I can send them to you when I get home from work. Or, I’m sure that if you just leave a reply to Fitzy somewhere on here, he would gladly give them to you.

  • Gunnar Martin

    So… Swearinger isn’t the second-stringer?

That surprises me. He seemed pretty solid in the preseason. I guess I’m just out of the Houston loop.

I hope swearinger doesn’t start, he has a tendency to hit low even his college tape shows he hits receivers knees to tackle. I don’t want anymore ACL tears on this team and Swearinger already tore up Dustin Keller’s knee
