Chargers And Raiders Likely Will Be Flipping Home/Road Dates

The Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers could be flipping home and away dates. THe Chargers meet up with Oakland on week 5 and week 16 of the season, but the road game in week 5 could have a schedule conflict with the Oakland A’s baseball team and the playoffs.

It seems likely that the Raiders will make a switch for those two games and we will have to head to Oakland late in the season. The A’s and the Raiders share the same stadium.

The switch is still not official and the league is pushing for the Raiders to make the switch as soon as possible. The decision will likely come shortly.

What the hell is MLB’s problem. First they refuse to allow the Super Bowl champions to open the season at home, and now this. Seeing how the schedule was made months ago the MLB should schedule their playoffs around the already set football schedule. What about the tickets that have already been sold? id rather close the regular season at home if a wild card spot is a possibility. We know the Raiders won’t be in contention. Fuck baseball, most boring “sport” in the world. America’s pastime my ass. What kind of sport is it that when your team is on offense it means you go sit on your bench

A sport where players play both offense and defense? Don’t defensive players sit on the bench in football when the team is on offense? It’s not like everyone is on the bench in baseball. I understand being mad about changing the dates or not liking baseball, but this is a ridiculous reason to criticize it.

By play offense and defense you mean where everyone on the field but 2 guys stand around 95% of the time waiting for a hit. I dont think I have ever seen a football player wear his sunglasses chew gum or eat sunflower seeds while on the field. There’s separate players on defense and offense in football cause they actually run at full speed, and battle the guys across from them on every play. You’re probably a big fan but I’m not, never have been never will. Sorry, but to me baseball is extremely boring.

i would rather switch the games so we don’t have to play on a crap baseball field.

I hate that dirt diamond, but I think the dirt helps when going against Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford who are pure speedsters. And its a high possibility the chargers could be fighting for a playoff wild card berth, id rather have them play at home late in the season against a division foe

id actually prefer it we would then have 3 home games in a row with the switch and if the raiders suck which is most likely the case the attendance would be less than the one earlier in the season.

Bring it.. it doesn’t matter to me. If we can’t beat the Raiders on the road this year, we have no business being in the playoffs anyway… no matter when we face them. It will just make the victory that much sweeter. Not to mention, we did the same thing the last two years, no problem. Only teams that watch the playoffs from their couch would need an excuse for losing either game.
