If You're Manti And You Know It Clap Your Hands

Those guys clapped their hands. Those guys followed him to the promise land. There were non-believers. They fell short. Who hasn’t?

Football intelligence. That has been associated with Manti since Mayock coined it. Every TV analyst drops it in their commentary. I just used it, too. He’s been in a walking boot, taking mental reps  He’s tomorrow’s leader. All the guys have respect for him, and they know what he is capable of. They know he will do it.

This is my first Manti Te’O article, and there couldn’t be a better time for it.. he’s not even playing. Charger fans either love him.. dislike him… or just hope he produces.

Personally… I like him. I don’t expect him to fill Seau’s shoes, but I think Seau would love Te’O. I know he may take a little bit of time to catch up, but I know he will separate from the pack. I don’t have any proof, just a feeling. At worst, he will be serviceable… and we all have higher expectations than that. He will change this defense.

I can’t wait to see him in full action, and neither can Butler.. or Weddle.. or Thomas.. or Pags.. or TT.. or McCoy. I hope to one day say I love him.

A corny write up, but I don’t care. I will be clapping my hands when Te’O has arrived.

Either he can play or he can’t. Like everything else, this is one of those wait n see moments.

If you’re Manti and you know it clap your hands! (clap, clap)
If you’re Manti and you know it,
Then you’re face will surely show it,
If you’re Manti and you know it

    Clap you’re hands!!!! (Clap, clap)

For all those people who also have closure problems, you are very welcome.

He’s got to much will, desire, passion, intelligence, and energy to flop. Te’o will reign supreme very soon.

I’m not gonna lie….at first glance I thought they signed a NT from Notre Dame…..

But yeah I like him…he looks like me in that pic..lol…..n I really hope he’s a BEAST out there… eventually

  • Brandon

This is one guy I’m excited to watch. Te’o will be in his own zone. He will not be the next seau but the first TE’O!!

Peter – put me down as a clapper :). I think it was Rodney Harrison who said that Te’o reminded him more of Tedy Bruschi than Junior Seau (and he should know). Anyway, that’s good enough company for me.

That’s some seriously good company! After seeing the first few games this preseason, I can’t help but think that if Te’O was in there, we wouldn’t be any worse off than Bront Bird. I like Bront, but Te’O is a play-maker. A game-changer. Our defense already looks pretty good, but when Liuget & Te’O get back in there… I think we are going to see just how dominating they can really be.

    I just hope he produces

We just gotta give him some room to grow. Remember Ingram’s costly penalty when all he wanted to do was hit the QB last year? We understood his passion but he had to learn to play within the rules. Same with Manti. He will guess a RB is going one way…and miss a tackle. The next time he’ll stop ‘em 4th and 1 when they go for it. Charger fans are soooo desperate for a winning season. It will happen!! Go Chargers!!!
