Chargers 24 – Cardinals 7: Open Thread

That was fun. We needed the team to come out and have a good game. Philip Rivers moved the football down the field. He did have that interception and he missed some open receivers.

Ryan Mathews looked good running the football, but he did have that fumble which should have been a turnover which turned out to be a touchdown somehow. Ridiculous play. Really ridiculous. I don’t understand why the Cardinals wanted to pitch the ball back with every turnover. Both of those pitches turned out to be hilarious. The first one, had DJ Fluker destroy the guy that pitched the ball and used him to trip up the guy with the ball.

Dwight Freeney still has that spin move. That offensive tackle just fell over trying to block Freeney. He still has it. He still can get after the quarterback.

How about Andrew Gachkar and Thomas Keiser? They were ballin!

Keenan Allen caught the punt and made a nice return. Makes up a little bit for the fumble. Just a little.

The special teams stepped up. It was nice to see.

Ladarius Green still needs to see some action with the first team. Still waiting for that to happen. Loved seeing Danny Woodhead on offense.

It just feels good to wipe the taste of the bears game out of my mouth, with a win.

  • oneone

Did Liuget play? With Te’o out they really ran it to Bront Bird didn’t they, gameplanning around him, still they were 0 until they played the 2nd and 3rd stringers in the 3rd quarter.

    Just total domination.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

he did not play.he will likely be out till the first game of the year.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Wait until him and Te’O get back.

  • oneone

Anyone noticed the guy who tried to block Mathews on the diving TD was Tyrann Mathieu?

    Dominated!!

Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd couldn’t catch a touchdown until it was in the 3rd quarter and that was against CB Greg Catson who’s a 3rd stringer, where was he in the 1st and 2nd quarter against Shareece and Derek? I thought he was suppose to be good!!! He only caught one pass that whole time. Hahahahaha

    Where was Larry Fitzgerald? Hahahahaha

    Damn our defense goooood!!

    • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

stop this sexy talk about the D…..lol

    • Me

      It’s the preseason, idiot.

I bleed powder blue, but seriously… relax.

  • Sergio Quintero

I was okay with Rivers, he led to 2 long drives, his INT he had his arm hit, which means more bad luck than anything. And several throws where he would accumulated some stats were actually P.I.’s by Powers-Neal.

Mathews if you’re going to jump please hold on to the ball, give plowing forward a shot.

Ladarius Green has to get more snaps when it counts, and Keiser made the team tonight.

    • oneone

No1 can hold onto a ball that gets hit by the helmet, that’s too much force, just ask Willie when he got hit by Bostic helmet and “fumbled” and the helmet didn’t even touch the ball like when Mathews had it.

Mathews need to not be predictable with the dives though, if he’s a one trick pony they will fumble that. He needs to run to the sides too at the scrimmage to keep the defense honest throughout the game.

      • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

needs to put two hands on that football.

      • Sergio Quintero

The jump is becoming predictable, totally agree, the guy has power lower the shoulder and grind the one yard into the end zone.

        • Daryl Peek

It did seem that way but I think most are making too much of it. Walter Payton, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Gary Anderson, LT, ETC… all made a living off diving over the top on goal line touch downs. When you have those type of hops you might as well use them.

      • Daryl Peek

That play was designed to go up the middle. If RM24 had tried to pop it outside Mccoy would be all over him like he was Michael Hill in the Seattle game for doing so. Baker got an ear full for doing that last night also.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

i do wonder if Philip held onto that football a little too long. will watch that one again

      • JoseSD

I don’t think so on the interception Clary was blocking Shaughnessy Mathieu put a juke move on Fluker and blew by him Clary prevented a sack by sliding over and stonewalling Mathieu but that let.Shaughnessy get a hand on Philip’s arm. So if it wasn’t a pick it would have been Fluker getting embarrassed by Mathieu for a sack. On another hand it was interesting to see Harris come in for Dunlap instead of Starks and he did really well

        • Stefanie Smith

Can’t read into the Harris instead a Starks move. McCoy said he was trying to give everyone an opportunity with the 1s and see how they do playing against 1s in s live game.

      • Marco

Agree on this. I noticed that Rivers looks lighter and moves a little bit better than previous seasons? I also noticed that he is not wearing the knee brace anymore, Definitely he needs to stay more in the pocket and give one more second to those receivers wide open. We will see.

        • Sergio Quintero

He might actually make a few a first downs running the ball on 3rd and 5 (or less), hey keep moving the chains.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I noticed an absence of certain people who spent most of the last two weeks criticizing, but were nowhere to be found making supportive comments when the team looked good. Perhaps they were upset that this new data doesn’t support their hypothesis or research? Or maybe they just can’t stand to be wrong, or give credit where credit is due. What was the abbreivation? I think it was “IJS”… LMFAO! 6 & 10… or something like that… lol.

    • arnie

Pete, waiting for the other shoe to drop, or the big let down, is a waste of time. Because in the process, you could miss one heck of a game.

      • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

For me, it’s hard not to get excited about this team and it’s future….I’m really pumped with the youth movement….I really can’t wait for the final 53 to be announced…

    • Daryl Peek

Really good game. I’ll leave it at that because if I give an honest objective assessment of the details, I’m sure certain people would be viewing it as offensive Debbie Downer-ism. Even tho there would be positives and negatives in it.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Not trying to speak for anyone.. but, we all saw positives and negatives. Discussing them openly, and objectively won’t get you a reputation for being a Debbie Downer, as long as it’s a fair and accurate analysis. We talk about the negatives on here regularly, along with the positives. No to mention, I don’t really care what anyone else thinks about my comments, either. Pretty sure you feel the same way. Don’t hold back, by any means…. let’s hear it. We’re all fans at the end of the day, and want to see this team win.

        • Daryl Peek

I dig that. It’s just when you say something critical of Rivers, many seem to get butt hurt defensive over it. Just feeling my way on this commentary blog thing.

          • 1961 Fan

Hang in there Daryl you are on target and very objective in this matter.

          • Guest

            HAHAHA!

          • FitzWilly

            Hang in there Kitty :)

          • Daryl Peek

            HAHAHA!

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

You will have to come to terms with that on a Chargers fan site. As long as long as you don’t become a broken record, or make that the main basis of continuous criticism day in, and day out… intelligent people will receive it objectively. We all know Philip needs to work on his game. Sometimes, it just seems that people are quick to point out errors, but suddenly go quiet when we see some improvement. There is still a long way to go, and I am not patting anyone on the back this early. But, it is a start.

          • arnie

Not me Pete. I’ve been bangin the drum that the Chargers are better than people expect. So i go quiet when i’m right. Besides, i’m a homer, remember. ;)

    • Derek

You’ll prob find them on bolts from the blue that’s their hq. where somebody actually said we have a shot at clowney!!!!!

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Lol… That is kind of my point. Some people go there to complain with other complainers.. and miss the open game threads we have on here where everyone is being objective, and pointing out the bad, along with the good . Then they come back here, and call us homers for discussing what went well.. simply because we aren’t focusing on only the negatives, like the other site does. If you go back though the open thread, and read the comments, you can see commenters pointing out areas of concern on each play. people love to conveniently skip over that fact, and act like we are all just ignoring any areas that need improvement. Nor do they suck it up, and say “there was improvement” in whatever area, because they are hellbent on being right about their initial analysis.

        • arnie

Spot on. Do you think i was pleased to see that ball squirt out? I’ve been pleased with RM24 performance, and was hopeful it would continue. It ended last night. Ball security, both hands, tucked close to your body. Ryan did the exact opposite on both goal line dives. He luck ran out on the second one. fortunate for him, it worked out.
I expect him to a “talking” to about that. If he can’t hold onto that ball there are three other guys that have proved they can.

    • 1961 Fan

The Bolts won a meaningless game and looked better in doing so; I saw some glaring mistakes in coverage on Special Teams when the Cards ran the ball back 30-40 yds on returns: Even though it was against second and third string defenses I think Sorensen is our QB of the future.

      • Stefanie Smith

What did Sorensen do that was so impressive? Nothing. He got sacked too.

        • FitzWilly

          don’t fight it stef
          stan is the man

        • Daryl Peek

Rivers looked much better but there’s still a big difference in pocket presence and throwing accuracy between he and the back ups. PR just comes off a bit underwhelming to me, especially given he’s the guy. Brad looks composed beyond his years. Hopefully PR will continue to get comfortable in the new offense. He seemed to find a comfort zone with Tutu. For all the bashing of Meachem, Brad seems to be able to find him all the time.

          • FitzWilly

            sing it :)

          • Stefanie Smith

You can’t be serious. Sorensen got sacked. Did he show composure then? Has he taken any team to a play off game? No, Heck, he hasn’t even played a half of a game. Plus he hasn’t played against any first teamers really.

And last word on the “new offense”. Coach McCoy stated at his press conference last night that they were trying out new stuff and putting new players in to see how they handled playing against 1s and with 1s. All they are trying to do is figure out who they have to cut by Tuesday and then get ready for the last cuts.

This is not our offense. So it’s really sort of silly for us to conjecture that River can’t grasp it because McCoy and Whisenhunt didn’t show the offense they plan to use in our games coming up.

I doubt that you could verbalize the offensive scheme that will be implemented when the season starts. Why do I say this? Because coaches don’t show their game plan until it’s game time.

          • Daryl Peek

Why would you go there in opposition of Brad a rookie? Everyone knows the full playbook is not on display. That does not change the fact that Rivers, a 10 year probowl QB looks uncomfortable out there. I’m not saying he can’t grasp the new playbook. What I do see is him having trouble deprogramming himself from the Norv seven step drops. And the (new) pace theme is definitely a challenge. It’s like he’s emulating Peyton Manning at the line. We’ve never seen that from PR. I’m used to him running Norv’s vanilla script.

Anyone can see Brad looks very composed out there for a rookie. Should he be the starter? NO. The only thing I’ve constantly said is PR needs to step it up and make his WR look better like most probowl QB’s do. Again his preseason performance is very underwhelming so far but I did see improvement last night.

        • Aaron Johnson

So you dont think a Rookie QB should get credit when he plays well as a first year player? Im baffled by that. Im not saying he is a starter now in the NFL but over 3 pre-season games (which coaches use to evaluate players) he looked better than Whitehurst. Its refreshing to see. I wouldnt want him to HAVE to play this year but id be more comfortable with him than Whitehurst based on the body of work Whitehurst has under his belt. My 2 cents.

          • Stefanie Smith

He didn’t do bad, but he didn’t do wildly great. There are newcomer QBs that have done more than Sorensen that are getting canned. Harrell on GB – cut. And Matt Flynn on the Raiders – is on the verge. So,while he did fine for a rookie with no NFL experience, he is not the second coming of Tom Brady, and not near as talented as RG3, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, etc.

And your bias shows through when you ignore when Whitehurst makes decent plays. No, no one likes him. But he has EARNED his spot ahead of this kid. Sorensen did fine, but nothing spectacular.

Whitehurst, whether we like him or not, has worked hard too during pre-season and made some plays with unknowns. Sorensen did okay for a rookie when his time came up. But then, so did Whitehurst and a host of others.

          • Aaron Johnson

Its not bias so much as judging him based on his entire career thus far. Sorensens sample is much smaller, i admit, but if I look at this pre-season alone, he outplayed Whitehurst. Then when I add in the rest of Whitehurst’s career, I see what his ceiling is and he has hit it.

          • BruisingChargers

Stef, one simple question? Are you an actual women posting on here or her husband/boyfriend? (Cause your knowledge of football is AMAZING for a woman.) If you are not a woman, post under another user name.

        • 1961 Fan

Take it for its value Stefanie: read what Daryl Peek is saying. If you wish to ride the “Rivers” pony this year then don’t be a sad sack in December if the Bolts have failed.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

He could be. I hope they retain him. Pretty early to be naming him as the “future” of this team. But, I am happy with his play so far. To me, people are polarizing him by automatically giving him the title of our next QB. Can’t he just be a good player who should make this roster before putting a big expectation on him? I know he has looked good, and you have seen a lot of football in your time. But, I for one am not breaking the champagne on the hull until we see a little more… which we haven’t seen a lot. Having said that.. so far, so good. I would love for him to exceed River’s level of play. I believe TT & McCoy are going to put whoever deserves the job in there… Not who makes the fans feel fuzzy… because winning makes fans feel fuzzy, over everything.

        • 1961 Fan

Well stated, if he is the future what a cheap price to pay and use next years # 1, 2, 3′s on some of the numerous spots we need to fill.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    What a game!

Loved the energy, focus and determination the players showed today!

  • Mikey737

I still say the funniest part of the game was when Antonio Gates grabbed that dudes leg on Ryan Mathews fumble Lol

  • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

Really irritated with the NFL channel… I set my DVR to record….. to my surprise I get to watch LT and his co-host talking about the New York Jets….. man will they get off of other teams jocks already….. Jets aren’t doing squat this year anyhow…so my recording starts well into the second quarter….. I am glad that you guys got to enjoy watching the win…. meanwhile I watch what I can & wait until the next showing on NFL channel… bastards….

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

      Aw man..that sux!!

      • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

yup, but I like what I see so far….Taylor looks good…….I’ll comment as I see the goods….lol….had to work,so dvr it was…once reg season starts, I’m not gonna miss B/c gotta pay 4 that Sunday Ticket, so If I gotta play hookey, so be it….

OMG…I totally know what you mean I Bleed! I am so sick of ESPN and their infatuation with the Jets. Over and over again.

      • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

SD gets no love and these commentators just keep spewing feces outta there mouth….man so I get it, Dirty Sanchez goes in to a preseason game w/ 11 minutes left, gets hurt, yeah what was Coach Ryan thinking…..? Me, I don’t give a rats @$$, b/c the Jets blow, and I could think of many other things they could be talking about like the Chargers which was the game supposed to be shown on their network…..Man, that makes me so sick…..

Bottom Line, they got the W, from what I have yet to watch, I hear the 1st Team O and D played well…Go Chargers!!!

    • Stefanie Smith

They didn’t show it on NFL Network because it was being shown on CBS locally in SD. IT was hosed up yesterday even to watch NFL Network online.

  • oneone

Anyone recall Michael Harris filling in for King Dunlap during that injury scare? his footwork is alot faster than Fluker’s and Starks, he’s at least 10 times quicker than him and he made walled off John Abraham really well and the o-line perform decent most of the times, ENOUGH TO PUT TOGETHER TWO LONG DRIVES, i give them an A plus, the true measure of an o-line is if they allow the QB to sustain drive and boy did they do that.

Everyone just perform awesome, special teams didn’t give Patrick Peterson, one of the best returners any room run.

    • arnie

      Better coaching makes a difference.

      • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

these coaches don’t look or act lost like Norf did.

    • boltingindiego

also harris was a ufda who was thrown in the spotlight at lt. The biggest growth is from the their rookie year to the 2nd.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    Jonathan Cooper broke his leg.

Hate seeing Players get hurt, wishing him a quick recovery!

    • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

of the Cardinals right….just watched it…ugly…sucks for them

we’re up to three no four acl’s? nobody feels sorry for us.

          • CALiFORNiAkiD

that doesn’t mean you can’t feel bad for a guy.

          • arnie

I do. i’m not a completely insensitive jerk. It’s just i’m a Chargers fan, and my team is having it’s own problems with injuries.

  • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

That hit by 51 & Gackhar pick was nice!

  • RZ

DJ Smith is a “ROCKER”, he had some Huge Hits tonight. Should make the squad.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

I keep saying this but I hope Ladarius Green gets some reps with the 1s

    • oneone

I’m sick and tired of seeing the Receivers get injured, Tutu just got injured, I say Ladarius Green runs in the slot or be a back up to whoevere will and Gates is the starting TE, no more signing receivers!

Imagine two TE’s roaming the middle of the field and exploiting mismatches against linebackers and nickel, besides Green is easily one of the fastest TEs i mean Shareece only ran a 4.46 40 yard dash while Green ran a 4.45.

      WE GOT THIS

      • CALiFORNiAkiD

        I agree.
Just put him on the field already!

  • I_Bleed_Powder_Blue_801

After Keiser had that sack, they pan’d the camera over to Melvin Ingram spittin seeds out, & man he looks like the late Bernie Mac….can’t wait for big man to make it back….

  • Adam

Did any of you notice that Thomas Keiser used DF’s spin move on one of his sacks?? Freeneys sharing the wealth!!

    • Me

Because Freeney is the only player ever to use a spin move hahaha

      • Nate

Dwight has been teaching them, Keiser was trying it all game and it worked 2.5 times

      • Adam

        Keisers a rookie stfu

        • Stefanie Smith

Coach McCoy really likes that Dwight is showing the guys stuff. He was saying the young guys really gravitate to Freeney and listen to him.

Freeney is going to have a big impact on our team. I love the guy. He scared the crap out of Palmer. He just comes at you and they get skittish.

        • RZ

          Keiser isn’t a rookie.

        • Adam

@RZ true but how much time has he had as a starter

          • RZ

I don’t know if he started any games with Carolina..I think he played a handful of games with them and then got injured. He was undrafted.Looks like a keeper for sure.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Yeah… but if it were a Jeopardy question, and they said “This NFL pass rusher is known for his patented spin move”, everybody in the room would immediately shout out Dwight Freeney, including you. Due to the fact that Dwight Freeney is ON THE FRIGGIN’ TEAM, and they practice together EVERYDAY… where do you think he got the idea? I bet if I were to go through Keiser’s game highlights, you won’t see it. I also read recently that he was teaching the pass rushers some of his tricks. So drop the sarcasm, because you aren’t really that witty.

  • boltingindiego

Special teams with the blocks and the allen return nice turnaround from last week. love the geathers ufda pick up from the Dawgs.

  • Stefanie Smith

Sure was fun to watch. They have something. And the o-line held up!!! Man, I don’t like to admit it, but I am sort of becoming a King fan.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

He played through his sprained ankle. I liked seeing that toughness. Hope it isn’t going to be a setback for the big guy.

      • Stefanie Smith

Same here. He is trying and giving it a good go.

  • Stefanie Smith

Any word on Vincent Brown? They kept saying on the news, that they would give an update on Vincent Brown, but then either I missed it or they never gave a report.

    Is Vincent injured?

    • Sergio Quintero

It seems it was more of a report on Vincent Brown’s rehab from ankle surgery, not a current injury.

      • Stefanie Smith

        Whew.

  • Nick in PB

Rivers isn’t even close to having a full grasp of
this offense. With Malcom out and Danny getting his first look of the
season you have to be encouraged. Things are getting better. A lot of
youth in the receiving core not to mention, I think the offensive line
is far from being complete, in terms of gelling. But they are getting
there. With the lack of depth and a new system, we are seeing progress
in small steps but it’s progress, unlike going in the other direction
under Norv. And the Cardinals started the preseason well. There was a lot more good to take from this game than bad and that’s a good sign.

    • Sergio Quintero

I was okay with Rivers, they moved the ball, they made tempo into a weapon. Arm getting hit INT’s are more bad luck than anything. Pass rating is a little overrated, when you consider you score TD’s, does it really matter if its a 1 yard pass or run.

Rivers does need to improve, but he should with more experience in the offense, and Brown/Allen/Ajirotutu growing into it, and getting Floyd back.

Can the chargers please experiment with Gates & Green on the field together, because Green looks like a future star.

In general a positive game, that still leaves a lot of room for improvement.

      • Nick in PB

I agree Sergio and don’t forget Royal! I think he will be a weapon inn this offense. By opening day, our receivers should be Floyd, Royal, Brown and Allen. That will lead to improvement.

        • arnie

Keep in mind, Rivers did make some good throws, that were called back. Things like that can work against getting into a rhythm. Adjusting to a new system is one thing. Then just as you get comfortable with a WR, bang he goes down an now you have to work on that timing with a new WR.
PR had a comfort level with DX an Floyd and was getting in synch with Royal. Now he is being asked to make big play with VB whose been hurt, Tutu who was on the street last week and a Rookie. I’m not saying he doesn’t need work. I’m just trying to look at his performance in context.

          • Nick in PB

Arnie, as always, the voice of reason and not only one reason, but many! You are absolutely correct. The injuries to the receivers has been trying but Philip is doing well under the circumstances.

    • Stefanie Smith

In fairness, they don’t do their entire offense in a pre-season game. Plus, McCoy was switching out players to go against the 1s. He talked about that at his press conference that he wanted to give as many players as he could, the chance to play with our 1s and go against AZ 1s. So no, this is not their offense. This was an exposition to get a feel for who makes the cut come Tuesday. So naturally, Rivers was managing as best he could.

For Rivers, McCoy expected Rivers to show improvement–which he did. He is getting comfortable with the no huddle, hurry up offense. Rivers said he liked it.

Every time someone brings up Rivers, McCoy replies, “The other players can play better: and that this is not just about Rivers

I doubt we could even verbalize our offensive scheme yet, because they are still working on it, The coordinators are working out who is best where and who is going to go, etc. So yeah, I guess Rivers is not close to grasping the offense yet.

      • 1961 Fan

Settle down Stefanie; you don’t want to blow a gasket like that fool Joe Rocket, well before the start of the real games – (09/09/13)

        • FitzWilly

          absolutely

        • Stefanie Smith

Off the subject, but did you know there was another QB that played in the game against AZ? Besides Sorensen and Whitehurst? Enderle.

      • Nick in PB

So true. They are feeding Rivers and the entire offense bit by bit. And that’s the smart way to do it. Too much, too fast would probably be a hindrance and be counter-productive. It’s a good plan. I think as fans, we want to see the improvement now and that’s not realistic with so many new pieces to put together.

  • FitzWilly

let’s trade CBJ to the Jets :)

  • Daryl Peek

Cuts are going down fast and furious already. I’ve seen quite a few on PFT today. The next couple of days will be jumping on the FA market.

What do y’all think are our biggest needs?

    My first thought is OLB.

It was great to see woodhead out there. If it wasn’t for a false start he would have had a TD!

  • Aaron Johnson

Brandon Taylor impressed me. He looked like what he was supposed to be when he was drafted. Overall our Offense looked good especially with starters missing when we were up against AZ’s 1s. That doesnt mean we win the game in the regular season but i think it highlights some depth at skill positions. Id like to see Green get time opposite Gates but I cant be unhappy with any of the 3 TE’s.

Defense looked as good as we have looked. Still some questions at CB but it seemed we were playing soft coverage with Palmer in the game. He does have a history of breaking our coverage down.

    ST looked a lot better.

Im more happy with how the guys appeared to play overall. It looked like they wanted to win. The last couple of years our guys were out there but I didnt see as much conviction (maybe its the way norv coaches or maybe it was something else). Overall, work needs to be done but I saw a lot of good things in these 3 games and I dont feel like problems carried over from 1 game to the next.

    • Stefanie Smith

That is what I saw also. It looked like they wanted to win.

    • Daryl Peek

I really liked how the intensity pumped up as the game went on… especially on defense. You can really see Freeny’s impact on the D. Johnson is gonna benefit big time playing oppsite of D93. Even English showed some physicality. Taylor looks like he’s gonna be a thumper! Gates impressed the hell out of me not giving up on that fumble. Geathers is a beast in the middle. I could see him pushing Cam before seasons end. Kaiser looked like Clay Mathews lite. LOL

Punishing BOLTS D. I LUV IT!

  • Sergio Quintero

Who is going to return Kickoffs??? Because Goodman has been basically bad all preseason.

Can Woodhead do it (since he’s Sproles reborn), or Keenan Allen, because as it looks Goodman has played himself of this roster.

    • Daryl Peek

      Keenan Allen or Royal.

  • Stefanie Smith

Hey, you football gurus do know we have 4 QBs on the roster right now, yes?
    Rivers, Whitehurst, Sorensen and Enderle.

  • Stefanie Smith

I think Enderle did a great job at QB. Very impressive. Really had a command of the offense.

    • arnie

i forgot there was 4th QB until he was on the field. :)

      • Stefanie Smith

It’s okay, arnie,. I doubt many remembered as they were busy watching all the astounding plays made by Sorensen. Oh wait, maybe that was Enderle.

That is the guy that gets cut and they keep Whitehurst and Sorensen. Every coach has a project. Sorensen is Coach McCoy’s project.

        • FitzWilly

          embrace “The Stan” stef
          he’s here to stay :)

          • Stefanie Smith

Yes, He is here to stay, like Jarret Lee was. If not this year, he will be gone next year. If they need a QB, they will draft one next year.

          • FitzWilly

TT won’t make the same mistake as that egomaniac AJ
they realize talent when they see it

      • FitzWilly

no one takes a knee like Enderle :)
        that was awesome

      • FitzWilly

        Enderle Enderle
        Aribba Arriba :)

    • FitzWilly

Finally Dombo is outta here! I swear he must have been AJs son from a secret affair.. he should have been gone long ago.

        • FitzWilly

          Amen PT
Dumbo should have been gone years ago
and you can’t spell “End” of the road, without Enderle
He does take a mighty fine knee though lol

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Little bummed about Baker. Looks like Ronnie Brown’s job is safe, I would presume.

          • FitzWilly

Better odds for the Fozzman though :)

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I am guessing that he has a REALLY good shot.. I will say by how much they have been using him… he always did.

          • FitzWilly

            he’s only gonna get better
