Denver Broncos LB Von Miller has been officially suspended for 6 games this year for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Am I mad? Nope. He tried to cheat the system and was caught.

Here is Miller’s statement on the situation:

“The Substances of Abuse policy requires everyone to comply with the rules. Although my suspension doesn’t result from a positive test, there is no excuse for my violations of the rules. I made mistakes and my suspension has hurt my team, Broncos fans, and myself. I am especially sorry for the effect of my bad decisions on others. I will not make the same mistakes about adhering to the policy in the future. During my time off the field, I will work tirelessly and focus exclusively on remaining in peak shape. I look forward to contributing immediately upon my return to the field and bringing a championship back to the people of Denver.”

So the test didn’t come out positive, but you still are getting a 6 game suspension because you tried to cheat the test. Still cheating. Test might as well be positive.

Lol… Can we keep Brad and suspend CBJ permanently?

        • arnie

it is possible, but i don’t think they want two rookies to back Rivers up. I think CBJ is in a contract year, they will make the move to upgrade Brad next season to that position.

  • Gunnar Martin

Now how come our schedule is so screwed up? Just our luck that we play them twice a year but we don’t even meet for the first time until Week 10.

At least there’s a better chance we make the playoffs now. And they don’t.

    • boltingindiego

thats what sucks is that we don’t play them in the 1st 6 weeks and they get the jags and raiders.

      • Ernie Padaon

i hope the Raiders beat them… they would never let them hear the end of it

        • boltingindiego

          that would be awesome.

        • Gunnar Martin

OMG I would kill for that. Please, please, please Lord Almighty let that happen

          • Ernie Padaon

can you imagine.. we will be rooting for the Raiders for that week… hahahahaha

          • NativeSanDiegan

Don’t think I will be. Only if playoffs absolutely depend on it. It’s in my blood…

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

1 or 2 more injuries or off field problems and the Donkeys are going to be not even close to what they were hoping for. I would love it if they start off 2-4 that would be awesome. They gotta still beat the Raiders and Jags, the other 4 games I could see them loosing.

  • Bill Nichols

Ahhhhh poor little donkeys, hope they lose the first 6 damn games (plus the 2 against us). Couldn’t have happened to a better bunch of assholes!!

  • Bill Nichols

Oh yeah, and I love the quote he put out. I wasn’t dirty, but, since if you are dirty you must abide by the rules…. But, I wasn’t dirty… Lying mo-fo. Own it you big dunce, I know they didn’t teach you that crap at Texas A&M. Gig-em!!

  • PakMaN

He didn’t cheat… he smoked weed his rookie year and got caught. Then he basically ignored the rules and skipped out on a few tests. Not like the guy is a juicer.

    • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Doesn’t he now get tested 10 times a month?

      • PakMaN

If that is the case, then he basically missed a week of testing. The only reason it was escalated like this because he has a “history” of breaking the drug policy (weed during rookie year). Its a shame he let it escalate like this but he also did the same with that speeding ticket he went to jail for the other day. He’s just being a typical dumb athlete.

        • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

oh I meant with this being the second time (even though it’s just a missed test) it counts like a real failed test and after #2 you get tested 10 times a month, damn one more Joint or anything for him and he’s toast.

        • boltingindiego

the drug test came dilluted so it wasn’t a positive or he missed a test.

    • Ernie Padaon

pretty sure the story was the pee was diluted

      • boltingindiego

        yah it was.

    • Ernie Padaon

or the fax machine didn’t work when he was trying to send the pee back

It it just me, or are we starting to see a pattern with Mr. Miller ?

Professional writers have said “this (Von Miller suspension) opens the door for the Chiefs” never any mention of the Bolts as being contenders. They must be counting on the Chargers going in the tank this season!
