Chargers Injury Report: Manti Te’o Still Not Practicing

Here is the latest list of Chargers that are not participating in practice today: Manti Te’o, Malcom Floyd, Corey Liuget, Johnny Patrick, Eddie Royal and Nick Hardwick

Nothing big… Just 5 starters and the projected nickel corner. We don’t have any troubles with injuries that we have to worry about or anything.

It looks like Danny Woodhead is on the practice field though after taking some time out from his mysterious injury.

If Manti Te’o is not on the field in the next couple of days, his probability for playing against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday will be in jeopardy. We will see how well his foot injury is recovering. If he is on the sideline for any significant amount of time, Bront Bird will be taking the spot in the middle.

Damn I thought for sure he’d be back by now

Hopefully this is, as McCoy likes to call it, precautionary. Don’t want to risk further injuring our star players. Just want to see him play in an actual game. This is getting annoying.

I used to think they were exaggerating or lazy or whatever, but they aren’t. Look at RG3. He kept playing, sucking it up if you will, and he could have destroyed his entire career. I truly believe T’eo will be out there when he is healthy. If it takes too long for them to get healthy, then I guess they have to go to plan B.

We should have had more depth anyways.

I think it is. It’s only pre-season, so why risk more damage to players in games that won’t count? There is a saying in football, in the third week of camp, you have an idea who won’t make the 53. They know what these guys can do. What more could Hardwick, Floyd an Liuget prove in two more weeks, that we an McCoy don’t already know? From where i sit, let Molk an baxter learn to play center “now”, rather than in the middle of a playoff push. Let jarius get reps and gathers get reps, an be comfortable in their roles on D, so they won’t miss a beat if Liuget needs a rest.
Hey, go sit. rest up. see you at 100% against the Texans.

    Omg!! Suck it up
Already!!!! Get your asses into the therapy room and do work!! Oh sorry, just a Lil bit of frustration there. How bout staying off your foot and out of the club Manti!!

The thing with Manti is disappointing for sure but it’s a foot and those things can be tricky. Come out too soon and it could end up being a year long hindrance. Just ask Gates! He is missing valuable time though. For a rookie middle backer he’s losing valuable learning time and that’s a shame. At this point, you would think Bird is going to be the one playing against Houston.

I remember someone reporting that he was already practicing in another article
