  • Gunnar Martin

    Haha I love Chris’s enthusiasm

  • Gunnar Martin

I’m just glad we put points on the board this week

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Gave it the old Seattle toss up!

  • FitzWilly

    Stan the Cannon :)

    • Gunnar Martin

      He was solid

      • FitzWilly

        amen
        our future :)

  • Sergio Quintero

Complete 180, the starters were atrocious and the backups and depth in general played well.

But yes the special teams gave 2010 deja vu, and that is a puke inducing feeling.

    • Daryl Peek

Running game was solid all teams. Rivers looks behind the back ups in understanding the new offense. I don’t see up tempo when he’s out there. O-line is a problem.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Totally agree! Did I not call it in my pregame 3 areas of improvement article? Special trams, dumb penalties, and Charlie Whitehurst. He played decently, but still coughed it up immediately on his first play! One thing I did not call was the first tamers playing like rookies! Awful.com.

      • Daryl Peek

I disagree on Whitehurst. That botched snap looked like simple bad chemistry between him and Hardwick. Charlie looked really good with the first team. Sorensen continues to impress.

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

He played well. Not so well that I forgot about last week, though. Still would like to see Sorensen play behind the ones. Whitehurst was handing the ball of like my grandma too. I almost thought he was waiting for Foxy to say please at one point. Just an opinion.

          • Daryl Peek

Charlie looked much more poised this week. He look so much more comfortable than Rivers back there. I don’t see up tempo with PR. The difference in throwing accuracy between Rivers and the back ups is alarming right now also.

Next week will say a lot. If Rivers can’t pick the pace up were gonna have a long season.

Stay tuned for a BFTB “told you so” article on how bad Rivers played, and how he’ll be playing for the Browns.. Except Weeden doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere, by the way he’s playing.

    • Daryl Peek

I wouldn’t say Rivers looked bad but he’s definitely not impressing!

      • Daryl Peek

Meanwhile Norv has Weeden looking like the old Rivers.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

      i thought this already too

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I have to admit.. I’m not giving up on them, because the system, positions, and team are totally new to all of those guys. But, that was a disheartening performance, to put it nicely.

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

yea i am not giving up… i think the team will still be fine, despite the poor performance. they needed a good old kick in the butt and for some reason Philip didn’t have many of those 3- and 5-step drops like he had… i was more referring to BFTB saying I TOLD YOU SO

          • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I know you were. I was just randomly venting to you. Hahaha.

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

hahaha… i just wanted to make sure that my comment was read the way it was intended to be…. there will be a lot of venting going on

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

Corey Liuget on the field and the Defense looked great.
Corey Liuget off the field and the Defense looked like crap.

Just confirms what I already thought.
Corey Liuget is the best player on our Defense.

    • Daryl Peek

Geathers and Jerideau looked good. I wonder if one could play DE/DT?

    • boltingindiego

      1) weddle 2) butler 3) leiuget.

      • CALiFORNiAkiD

        wrong

        • boltingindiego

          1 play doesn’t prove a point.

          • CALiFORNiAkiD

Did you not watch the 1st Bears Series?
Corey Liuget was everywhere. Even got a sack.

He better stay healthy because he makes EVERYONE better.

  • Stefanie Smith

Well, guess Brad did not lead the team to a victory.

    • FitzWilly

thanx to that goof Hill who can’t catch
      Stan jr is our future

    • boltingindiego

would of had a better chance if stone hill could catch a 1st down pass.

    • Guest

Ha! I know that was for me. Did they even play today? lol

  • Daryl Peek

We actually had a positive Meachem sighting today.

  • Stefanie Smith

Hey, did anyone else think the o-line is still a problem?

    • CALiFORNiAkiD

They can run block for sure..But Pass protection is still an issue.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

Ryan Mathews continues to impress me.

    • Daryl Peek

Fozzy and Baker also. Baker looks really explosive.

      • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

        baker is fast.. surprising fast
