Injuries To LeRon McClain and Chris Gronkowski In Practice Today

Things seem to be getting a little rough with these rash of injuries right now. Both of our fullbacks have gone to the sideline hobbling with some sort of injury.

It sounds like McClain’s injury is pretty bad, but I am basing it all off of the description in that tweet. Let’s hope for the best outcome for the both of those guys. The fullback is not a big weapon in our offense, but McClain has shown the ability to carry the football when asked to.

Hoping for a quick recovery from both of those guys and hope not to hear the initials ACL in the near future associated with them. Get well. Stay healthy!

Was just about to say the same thing. Did you know that they have him listed on the depth chart as the long snapper if Mike Windt goes down too?

      • 619chargers4life

He’s also listed as a long snapper.. I did not know that about him, either.

      • Gunnar Martin

          hahaha…

Hey, T’eo is going to miss a week of practice with a sprained foot. Man, I hope it is not worse than they are saying. This is bad enough.

    • Gunnar Martin

It’s preseason. Even if he does turn out to be hurt longer than they’re saying, two weeks is about the same as missing one week this time of year. Now, if he gets the same thing in a month, then that would be worrisome.

      • Stefanie Smith

Whew. Now I am not worried so much. Just so it is not a broken foot or something like that. However, as good as he was in college, he didn’t really make an impact–kind of got overpowered by Seattle.

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I think you said it.. he’s a rookie. That was his first NFL game. Some rookies take a minute to get used to the speed.. others make an immediate statement. But, it doesn’t mean you aren’t good, if you don’t play great in your first preseason game.

          • Stefanie Smith

            Exactly.

I have this preseason live deal with NFL.com. I have been looking at some of the games that were not shown on TV and some that were. I would be interested in knowing who you think has improved and who stands out on all the teams.
I tell ya what. They have a backup QB on Cincinnati – Josh Johnson–outrageously good.
Chargers: Improved: Rivers and that o-line , Freeney was great.
Left an impression: Cattouse, Steve Williams
I don’t see the fascination with Sorenson, the backup QB, other than to convince ourselves to dump CBJ. But he will get more opportunities to show what he can do. Someone said he is our future. I respectfully disagree.

    Patriots v Eagles:
Improved: Vick, Desean Jackson, ant the Phillies o-line
Patriots – LaGarette Blount – was good

    Broncos and 49ers
Anquan Boldin – still outrageously good

If anyone has watched any of the other games, it would be interesting to see who you think are the most improved, making an impact, etc etc.

Eli Manning looked good going over the top to Victor Cruz for a 37 yd TD.

      • Adam

And Rat Castle is still bad. Figure that one out! :0

    • jamfed

      I liked Cattouse too…

Starks looked STIFF and Dunlap looked pretty good!

  • Stefanie Smith

    Another improved QB = Weeden.

Whoever gets up off the trainers table first, may have the edge in making the squad.
