Danario Alexander Suffers Torn ACL

That injury to Danario Alexander was a lot worse than  it first sounded. He has suffered a torn his ACL in his right knee. MOTHER EFFER!!!

Alexander will likely be out for the year with this injury. Alexander’s knees are seriously put together with duct tape and paperclips.

That is some of the craptastic news to come out of camp. Melvin Ingram already has a torn ACL and now Danario Alexander will be joining him on that comeback trail. CURSE WORDS!

Remember when we wanted to get Alexander to a long-term contract? The biggest question was his health and his crappy knees. Those knees are terrible! CURSE WORDS!

Looks like it will be time for Vincent Brown or Keenan Allen to step their games up. It looks like there will be another opportunity for Richard Goodman or Mike Willie to make it onto the roster.

Excuse me while I got vomit for a couple of hours!  This is crap!!! CURSE WORDS!!!!!

    This is such BS

  • PakMaN

FUCK. What is this the 3rd ACL in the last month?

  • davacho

    so disappointed…

  • http://boltbeat.com/ ChargerGirl Cindi

MF! Just when we were back to a full squad.

  • RussinSactown

OK, next men up. Brown and Allen. But I echo PakMaN’s Fuck!

  • Rob Base

F*** this sucks! Not how I wanted our Bolts to start the year! Cross your fingers Brown and Allen stay healthy and step their game up!

  • Pels04

Not one usually one to cuss but FUCK! about sums it up. Looks like we will see more of Allen after all

  • Cgoodness13

This sucks, but at least TT didn’t pay him a butt load of money

  • Daryl Peek

    DAMMIT!!!!

Anyone know how Ladirus Green is looking in camp? I always had this idea he should lose about 10 or 15 pounds and play WR. I don’t see his frame as a TE. The 9iners are experimenting with Davis at WR. Couldn’t hurt.

    • Lee

      Probably too slow for receiver

      • Daryl Peek

        Green ran a 4.53 at the combine at 240lbs. V-Jax ran a 4.46 at 241lbs.

        • Lee

I take back what I said then

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Fucking balls, just heard the news……..devastated

  • http://www.standupforkids.org blackroseMD1

    Really? REALLY???

    Fuck.

  • Mz. Sarah

    !&$@”,?()#<~? Yup that's all I got!!!

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

It’s OK guys, it’s not the end of the world. We’ve got good receivers. Let’s thank or lucky stars it’s not Rivers. Get well DX.

  • RZ

    !!@$##@!!!!!……SMDH!!!! Ok next guy up….dammit!!!!

  • Blue&gold_blood

    FML!!!!!!!
    Why!!!!!!!

  • Rob Base

Should I cry, pout or break something right now!

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    Fuck!!!!!
No words can explain how I’m feeling.

  • JoseSD

I was saying this the whole time we were waiting for him to sign his RFA tender and some were complaining that for $700,000 more he was guaranteed to stay. He was always a huge injury risk and that’s why no one else tried to pick him up, great call by telesco by not gambling big money in him. Now its time for Willie, Goodman, Depalma to prove they deserve a shot on this roster. In Telesco we trust

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I was saying the same thing. You can’t do business, based on emotion. Watch Pawn Stars. You don’t see them overpaying for cute chicks, and feel good stories.. Lol.

      • arnie

        Peter called it.

  • joerockt

Wow, unreal. All players need to wear braces in training camp. Make the fucking rule and put those damn things on. I’m sure they’ve come a long way in the 20 years since I played.

    • joerockt

I just realized in that pic above he’s wearing one on his left knee but not the right. SERIOUSLY? WTF. Beyond stupid.

      • shane

he’d had 5 surgeries on his left but nothing significant with the right knee…thus no brace

  • shane

while this news royally blows…i dont see the team as being that hurt by it, with all the depth the team has, i see it as meaning more balls for allen/royal/brown/green…and maybe a depalma or willie has a sniff at making the roster now?

    • Pels04

Anytime you lose your #1 WR it hurts but i feel what youre saying. Maybe Meachem will actually get a shot at earning that big paycheck

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

That’s what people are missing… Meachem HAS to step the eff up! Even before this injury he had to. That pressure had to be on his shoulders long before last season ended. I would be surprised if he came out and had another year like 2012. He’s a pro football player for God’s sake. It’s gotta be embarrassing for him to be receiving that kind of money, and be fifth on the depth chart… Even for the dooshiest player.

        • Gunnar Martin

He will be better served as a backup role player like he will be playing this year. Much more like New Orleans for him. He will have depth to hide behind and then shine when he gets the opportunity. I don’t think he’ll have a great year, just one that’s better than last’s.

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    Say Day for Charger fans.

  • Adam

Meanwhile, somewhere in San Diego, Robert Meachum is celebrating

    • Adam

Sorry, I joke when I’m emotionally devastated.

    • joerockt

Meachump can pop bottles all he wants, he’ll still be a #3.

      • Adam

        Haha yep.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I’m gonna give him another shot… And I may be his worst critic.. And an idiot.

  • Adam

I wonder what this means for him next year with us.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

      Or in the nfl?

      • Adam

I didn’t wanna go there. Thank you for taking me to a very dark place.

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

          That’s what I’m here for.

          • Adam

            Haha Oh you

  • Adam

    LETS GO WILLIE!!!!!

    • Gunnar Martin

Similar body frame, right? Maybe two inches shorter but still that tall, physical presence. LETS GO WILLIE!!!!!

      • Adam

Yes! And every time he’s gotten an opportunity he’s shined!

  • joerockt

I think we give Brandon Lloyd a call at this point. Here’s a list of current FA’s:

    Brandon Lloyd
    Laurent Robinson
    Donald Jones
    Randy Moss
    Austin Collie
    Deion Branch
    Brandon Stokley
    Chad Johnson
    Jabar Gaffney
    Roscoe Parrish (PR)
    Brandon Banks (KR/PR)
    Mike Sims-Walker
    Sammie Stroughter
    Jason Hill
    Brian Robiskie
    Ruvell Martin
    Patrick Turner
    Seyi Ajirotutu
    Greg Camarillo (PR)
    Legedu Naanee
    Mardy Gilyard (KR)
    Devin Thomas
    Adrian Arrington
    Michael Clayton
    Demetrius Williams
    Maurice Stovall (TE)
    Jerheme Urban
    Jaymar Johnson
    Quan Cosby (PR/KR)
    Chastin West
    Lance Long
    B.J. Cunningham

    • Adam

A lot of solid names there

    • Lee

I honestly wouldn’t be against signing randy moss. Not a bad deep threat even tho he’s old as dirt

    • RZ

We have enough depth for WR’s where I think we’ll be alright. They should sign another player to help for one of the other positions where we do need more depth ie: DL/DB but this injury to Danario sure as hell sucks!! Hope to have no more major injuries from here on out.Looking forward to Thursday night GO BOLTZ!!!!

    • Pels04

That list is reason enough to not go and rush signing a new WR. There is some talent there. I think Collie sign w/ the 9ers

  • Lee

2 things: we should be glad we have a decent amount of depth at the wr position and TT did good when he signed him to the lowest possible contract for a RFA. Here’s to lucky 13 boasting it up this year

  • FitzWilly

    FUCK FUCK FUCK
    AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Will

2 words. ROBERT. MEACHEM. Everyone loves rookies, but REALISTICALLY, he’s not gonna be a good starter his first year and Vincent brown will always be a slot receiver. Brandon Lloyd was amazing with McCoy in Denver, and I have no idea what Telescos ass is sitting on his hands and not making a move for him.

    • Gunnar Martin

I disagree on all accounts here. TT knows what he’s doin. And VB will always be a slot receiver??? Are you serious? He’s always been better on the outside. This sucks but we’ll be fine.

  • Rigo C Garcia

    This sux dix n’ cox!!!

It’s time for all the WRs to step your game up!!!

  • Alter Ego

    Lloyd…welcome to San Diego.

  • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

DePalma and Tasker could step up.

  • tiiiiiiiiiiit11

How do you have 3 torn ACLs in the first two weeks of camp, what kind of camp is Telesco running?
We just lost our best offensive player from last year. That third round draft pick is looking like a brilliant selection now

    • Lee

Your comment is bad and you should feel bad

      • Gunnar Martin

        Bwahahahaha that was hilarious

      • tiiiiiiiiiiit11

Hey you dork, go look at some more memes before I give you wedgie.

    • Stefanie Smith

First of all, it is not Telesco’s camp. Did we ever call it AJ’s camp? It’s McCoy’s crew.
Personally, I don’t think it is coaching issue. Most of them are on steroids and the new kids (the youth movement) will hit you hard to look impressive to the coach. Then accidents also happen.

Seriously, they all look bulky on the outside, but their bones are like paste and just crumble.

      • tiiiiiiiiiiit11

Not Telesco, sorry. That crazy damn gardener who doesn’t fix the un-even field!

  • Gunnar Martin

    1. Floyd
    2. Brown
    Slot. Royal
    4. Allen
    5. Meachem
    6. Willie
    7. Goodman

As for my opinion, look at the rest of the column.

But on a positive note, at least all the other WRs will have better statistical years (broken smiley face). Bring him back next year, we weren’t gonna win the Super Bowl this season anyways.

    • Daryl Peek

DePalma could sneak in and knock one of those guys out.

      • Gunnar Martin

Maybe, but I just don’t see it happening. We’ll probably only keep six receivers on the roster, and Goody has the most impact at this point because of his return game. I guess we’ll see how things go in preseason though.

        • Daryl Peek

I don’t disagree with you but I’m just leery of another Laurent Robinson/Wes Welker situation.

          • Gunnar Martin

Gotta do what’s best for the team, not play what-ifs

  • Nick in PB

This news just broke my heart today. After last season I was hoping he could get through a season without injury. He’s such a good receiver and such a good person. As a Charger fan and a fan of Mizzou, DX’s school, I was hoping for big things. I was cautious, but no doubt, Alexander was going to be my next Charger jersey. Sad news. Luckily, it’s probably the spot we are deepest at yet you remove our number one and it doesn’t look quite like it did going into camp.

  • arnie

    Next man up!

  • Joel

Firstly I’m depressed and F%$^ing pissed. I loved me some DX. watched highlights of his catches in the steelers game last year, unreal.
the light at the end of the tunnel, here it is. It was the same situation last year. Jared Gaither came in and played like a boss half way through the year, we were so lucky to have him, or so we thought… enough to fool AJ Smith into giving him the farm and the keys to the family car. fast forward a year we meet Big Lazy and his true colors.
everyone hates AJ for overpaying for a asshole [big lazy] and a clutch drop artist. [meachem] and not paying VJ and sproles ect.
Now we have TT who looks like a genius for not overpaying for DX. [DX is not an asshole like Big Lazy, just a injury prone guy.] when people wanted him to sign DX to a contract and thought it was stupid not to pay him royally. and TT is working on a contract with Butler and drafted a backup WR in Keenan Allen… it looks like TT might just know what he’s doing. Sometimes just being one move ahead of the game can mean the difference between being #1 and #32

    • Gunnar Martin

      True dat bro

  • Trey P

I know One Thing We cant start The season off With Floyd as The Number One Again smh that didnt work to well last year..

  • jamfed

I still like the WR depth on this team. Lets face it, SD doesn’t need a #1 WR with Antonio Gates on the team.

    #1. Floyd / Brown
    #2. Meachem / Willie
Slot: Royal / Allen / Goodman

  • C.Steele

    Pass the bottle…
