Vincent Brown Misses 5th Straight Practice

Vincent Brown had to sit out his 5th straight practice with a hamstring injury. This is cutting into his reps with Philip Rivers and the first team offense. He is allowing players like Keenan Allen and Eddie Royal to steal those extra reps and steal the spotlight. Both players have been getting good reviews during practices.

Injuries to Vincent Brown during training camp has been the norm. This is his third training camp and he has been injured in all 3 of them. He loses valuable reps on offsense and allows others to get playing time.

If Brown misses any more practices, the team might want to sit him in the first preseason game against the Seahawks on Thursday. That will be a huge opportunity for Keenan Allen or Eddie Royal to move up the depth chart.

I hope Vincent Brown can get back on the practice field soon. I wish he wasn’t hampered by an injury every time we went into training camp. Get well soon Vincent, we have a lot of high hopes for you.

Depth is something we can, and should be grateful for with this unit’s history.

As long as he doesn’t pull a big lazy I’m alright with him taking time off to get him self healed up, taking care of a injury is more important than getting back on the field.

  • Adam

I think they’re just being extra cautious with him. Unlike norv was in last years preseason game

    • Joel

as long as he’s back for the regular season let him be injured now… anyways injuries just are like a bucket of ice water in the shower, unwanted and rude… kinda like those bumper stickers that say “mean people suck” well, Injuries Suck.

      • Adam

You said it. Lets get them outta the way now

  • CALiFORNiAkiD

    I feel the same way.

  • Aaron Johnson

This worries me based on injury history but hopefully its caution more than anything.

  • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

He will will be fine and this team will be too. Would be better if he could stay healthy but this regime is moving forward with players who can play now. Ride on player.

  • Rob Base

C’mon man dude needs to get back on the field. I have an expectation from him I hope it doesn’t lead to a resentment. Why does it seem like our WR core is always banged up?

  • Bill Nichols

Man. I’m going to stop setting myself up for the big VB let down each and every year. This is getting depressing, much better to count him out, and then he shows, and shows up big. Come on dude, more stretching, more Gatorade, how about some IV fluids before during and after practice, don’t become one of those guys, we are expecting great things, as I am sure you are wanting to prove to the league, that you will demand attention from the defense. Bolt Up!!

I cringed when I saw the fantasy football jinx, that he is a favorite to break out. That’s what they said about Mathews last year. Please stop picking our players to break out in fantasy world… Lol.

  • John Alton

I seriously doubt VB is allowing anybody to take extra reps. He is not sidelined by choice. He will be back at camp when the coaching staff allows him to. That will happen when the medical staff clears to practice.

He was on the sideline today. He may be injured, but he is still watching and learning. That said, Keenen Allen is a beast! He was making cuts I have not seen in a long time.

    • Rob Base

That’s what I like to hear! Lucky 13

If it is a hamstring injury, then it hurts. Hurt a mutha’………… They don’t go away. You have sit on your but, or stand, until you can stretch without tightness or pain. Taking reps now would only aggravate it, until something worse happens.

Well, at least they have which player goes and gets snacks and treats for the team. Heard on the news last night that the vets send T’eo over to Walmart or wherever to get them snacks. lol And the guy does it. He is a good sport. Seems like they are all getting along.
