Eddie Royal Stepping Up In Training Camp Again

Eddie Royal has been tearing it up. He is the hype around training camp again. He was the hype in minicamp last season, but he kept showing up on the injury report during the season. That will be our biggest fear with Eddie Royal this coming season.

He can be a weapon in Ken Whisenhunt’s offense. He has the ability to make people miss after the catch. He is dangerous with the football in his hands. The short passing game plays in Royal’s favor. I love that he is showing off the potential in camp, but we need him to do some things on the in games.

Royal has an advantage over the other receivers to take a roster spot. He is a punt returner and a kick returner. He is able to fill those roles and can be a good option on offense.

The roster already has Danario Alexander, Vincent Brown, Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd locked in. Royal would be a different type of threat on offense. He doesn’t have the size of the other receivers, but he has the quickness to make things happen in the slot.

Royal fits the offense really well and he would be our return specialist. I think he will break camp on the roster…. unless he gets traded. And that could actually be an option.

yea… there are some teams that need some receivers and he would be one of the only options to do such a thing. unless i say Danari.. i will just stop there

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Funny… We just had some Chiefs fans in here saying there weren’t any Charger fans in KC.. lol. Yet, there you are.

      • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

haha… was thinking the same thing

      • Trey P

Yeah They tripping..Dont get me wrong i wanna see the Chiefs do good But fans out here arent realistic. They actually think Alex smith is a legit Qb..and thats the only weapon they added on offense smh..But i been ridin with the Chargers since Phillip started to be the QB..

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Agreed. They picked a heck of a year to go 2-14. One year earlier, and they could have had luck or rg3. Smith was probably the best QB available, so I don’t blame them for it. But, everyone is suddenly acting like he can take them to the playoffs, and beat Denver… Just last year he lost his job to a rookie QB, and everyone was calling him a game manager. Strange how opinion turns so quickly… Especially when an East Coast media favorite coach comes to town. Reid coached a stacked team to the ground the last two years. That line of logic doesn’t add up to me.

I hope he can stay healthy, and be the speedy little slot guy that we had hoped he could be last year. That would be true justice if he produced insanely, and made Wes Welker’s arrival in the division a side note.= )

    • Adam

YES!!! You’ve just described my dream last night…I’ve showered since

  • Rob Base

Fresh younger WR’s on the roster lets trade him. What if he gets injured again? Allen can take his spot.
