Went on Raiders Site To Read About Chargers-Raiders Rivalry. They Didn't Write Much About the Last Decade. Weird.

The Oakland Raiders site is cracking me up a little bit this early morning. They have a post about the Chargers-Raiders rivalry throughout the years and here is the information that they posted within the last decade:

1990s – 2000s

The 1990 meeting between the two teams resulted in a 17-12 Silver and Black victory as the Raiders earned their 14thAFC Division Championship and sealed their 16th trip to the postseason. In 2002 the Raiders beat the Chargers at home 27-7 as they ripped through the regular season en route to a Super Bowl appearance. The 2003 Week 3 matchup between the Raiders and Chargers provided another exhilarating moment as the game went beyond regulation. The Raiders were able to pull from behind in the final minutes of fourth quarter to tie the game 31-31 on a Charlie Garner 24-yard rushing touchdown. The Silver and Black were then able to come out with a 34-31 overtime victory with a Sebastian Janikowski field goal.

The Chargers then ripped off an unprecendented string of 13 victories in a row in the series.

2010s

The Raiders snapped that streak and reeled off three straight wins over the Chargers. San Diego has since won the last three meetings. Those last three games have been decided by 23 total points.

Back 10 years ago, the Raiders beat the Chargers. It was awesome. Everything was amazing. Went to the Super Bowl. BLAH. BLAH. BLAH.

Then there is this little blip on the bottom line that is barely visible. Let me replay it for you:

The Chargers then ripped off an unprecendented string of 13 victories in a row in the series.

Then the Raiders won 3 in a row, because WE SUCKED…. but we have won the last 3.

16 of the last 19 BABY!!!!!

And we wonder why they are so bitter!
