[Video] Antonio Gates Auditions For Role In The Movie R.I.P.D.

Pro athletes Antonio Gates and Joakim Noah audition for a role in the new Universal release “RIPD”, but are their acting chops good enough to impress Jeff Bridges? (via ESPN CreativeWorks)

Here is the official trailer for the movie:

And the movie description:
Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

The movie looks intense and if it weren’t for Antonio Gates, I may have never even heard of it. Being a Chicago Bulls fan also, it was nice to see Joakim Noah on the same little skit with a San Diego Charger.

What did you all think of Gates’ acting skills? He should stick to his Sunday job. He does that one much better. Remember that commercial with Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates shopping at the San Diego Chargers team store? That one is just as bad.

I am just happy that Gates is catching football for the Chargers and is not pursuing an acting career.

As long as it doesn’t affect his play, I’m down! Was it just me that got irked at Jeff bridges for being mean to gatesey? Lol

I love Gatesy. So if this was bad acting, I honestly couldn’t see it. He is perfect in everything ;)

Antonio gates was pretty good on an episode of The League on FX, this movie looks like a terrible Men in Black ripoff and Jeff Bridges accent sucks

That’s the attitude i want to see Gates with on the field.
