Broncos Exec Arrested For Crashing Into Cop Car and Having Open Container Of Alcohol

Denver Broncos Director of Player Personnel Matt Russell was arrested over the holiday weekend for getting in a car accident with a police car. Of  all the things to hit…

He is facing charges of driving under the influence. He had an open alcohol container in the car.

Here is the Broncos statement:

“I deeply regret the poor judgment I demonstrated that resulted in my arrest over the weekend,” Russell said in a statement. “I apologize to the Denver Broncos, our fans and the National Football League for this inexcusable mistake. I’m ashamed that I represented this region and the Broncos organization in the manner that I did. I take complete responsibility for my actions and will be fully accountable. Going forward, I will take steps to ensure this never happens again.”

That sucks! It’s not just the players that get into trouble anymore. As a penalty, can the Broncos revert back to having Tim Tebow at quarterback and allowing Peyton Manning to be a free agent again? Sounds like a great solution to me.

They should be fined and all starters have to have one hand tied behind their back.

  • PakMaN

This exec is a shithole of a human being, considering he fines and lets players go for doing the same thing he did. Hypocritical asshole is what he is.

PS: Am I the only one hoping Denver shows up at their best on Nov 10th? I’ll be there to watch my bolts man handle that choke of a QB.

either way. i just want a win. when we beat them with all of their best available. it would feel much better

So does this mean all the Donkeys get one free screw up this year? I’m guessing Elway is not pleased.

  • Steve

Too bad it wasn’t Elway instead. :D

  • Peter Thompson

His statement should have been “When I drinks… I likes to drive”.

What a way to celebrate our country’s independence… in the pokey! Bet you that is a rough day for a rich guy to be in the drunk tank.. lot’s of swim-trunks / flip-flops / no shirts action, I would expect.. bwahahaha!

What i would like to know, is this guy going to get the same treatment a player would? After all, “..being in the league in a privilege..” now let’s see the front office, practice what they preach, when it’s one of there own.
