Aaron Hernandez Arrested and Charged with Murder

When I wake up in the morning and turn on the TV it is not on CNN, it is on NFL Network.  This morning’s breaking story is that Aaron Hernandez, TE for the Patriots, has finally been arrested after a week of speculation on his involvement in a local murder.

I am sad for the family of Odin Llyod, who’s body was found in an industrial park by Hernandez’s home on Monday, June 17th.  Reports by Lloyds sister claim he was at a club the night before with Hernandez.

Hernandez has taken moves prior to his arrest to hire a defense attorney.  We will find out the charges at the arraignment that is planned for later today.

Update:  At arraignment Hernandez was charged with murder and possession of an illegal firearm.

I have a gut feeling we’re about to hear a “concussions made me do it” defense…

      oh boy

He has issues. There is a reason he went in the 4th round. I’m also guessing that the Pats had a contract clause so they could release him if arrested, hence the quick action today. I hate seeing these guys throw away the dream. Sad.

But apparently no clause in the contract to help them recoup the money from him. That’s weird.

I’m glad you guys are on top of this as well! I think
the fame and money got to him, after all he was only 22 when they
offered him 5 year $40 million. That’s all gone now, he won’t be a tight
    end much longer.

  • Alter Ego

…whatcha gonna do when they come for you

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

The only reason I can think of, for him destroying (probably) expensive security cameras, and having his house cleaned from top to bottom… is that there was something on there, or in the house, that was REALLY bad. Maybe he figured they can’t use it to convict me, if they don’t have it? I wonder what the obstruction punishment is, compared to a murder conviction? Can you still be convicted of murder, if you do something like that.. simply because it looks like you did it?
Also, did he destroy the cameras himself? Is there nothing “accidentally” stored on a hard drive somewhere? Did he know how to erase the files? Or did he have to ask someone how to do it, or actually have someone do it? Or, did he just blow the computer up with dynamite? If someone helped him, what did they see? That’s being an accomplice to the crime, too.
Also, did the cleaning ladies, or whoever, find or notice anything weird? I imagine they will be interviewed.
If they went to the club, and an argument or situation got out of control… who dumps the body a mile from their house?!!! And, if he didn’t do it.. maybe he was rolling with some VERY connected people, and they told Hernandez to do all this stuff, or his family might end up dead? I know he was hanging out with gang members in Florida, but I wonder if they are the kind that will murder your family! All of this stuff points to a really greasy story.

  • Alter Ego

In jail…do you think he stays a tight end or switches to wide receiver.

    • Guest

I’m sure Bubba will find a way to use him in various positions.

    • arnie

my goodness, i was thinking the exact same thing….LOL

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

    Does he have kids?

    • arnie

I don’t Know Peter, but considering everything he’s worked for, just got flushed. Now we can see who wasn’t paying attention at the rookie symposium.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

Right? And now they are investigating him for possible involvement in another double-murder in Boston last year.. where a couple of guys were capped sitting at a stop-light, after getting into a fight with a group that included Hernandez. They think Odin Lloyd might have known too much about it, and now he’s (obviously) dead. SMH.

Sad what a wasted life! Dude was talented but obviously had too much EGO! I feel empathy and sadness for the victims family.

Theory: Maybe Odin & Hernandez went back to Aaron’s house after bar fight – things got more ugly- Hernandez and goons forced Odin into SUV – drove 1 mile – murdered and dumped Odin and vehicle – came back to house…destroy vid evidence…yellow flag(penalty)…instant replay from house across street puts him in a world of shit.

  • arnie

IDIOT! i struggle from day to day, just to make ends meat. And this guy works for an opportunity most people wish they could have, and it’s gone. for what? did he steal from Hernandez? did he call him a name?
Now, I know all people are innocent until proven guilty, so i will wait for the verdict. However, i go under the assumption, that the police are pretty good at their jobs. And when they come knocking on your door, with warrants and arrest you for murder, it’s fair to say they’ve narrowed the field of suspects.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ ChargerGirl Cindi

I feel you here Arnie. What we all wouldn’t give for that kind of cash – or even a small percentage of it!
