Vincent Brown – Every Chargers Fan’s Fantasy Football Sleeper

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown is going to be on a few fan’s lists as a possible fantasy football sleeper. Especially in a league full of San Diego Chargers fans, there are going to be a ton of people who are going to reach for him. Some are going to select Danario Alexander first, but Chargers fans are down right giddy to see Vincent back on the field. Some people might want him more than Danario.

The new offense that will focus on a quick passing attack should give Brown a ton of opportunities to make plays. He is one of the best route runners on the team and can get separation quickly off of the line from the defenders. He might not begin the season as a starter, but WHEN he takes it over, we all know that he will make plays and attack the football. He fights for the football and comes down with it a lot of the time. He is going to be a huge threat in the red zone as well. He will be a receiver that Chargers fans are going to want in their fantasy leagues.

When the draft comes for your fantasy leagues, which Chargers receiver would you rather have and what round would you select him in?

7th round. It is a tough call until we see how often he’ll be used. in PPR type leagues lots of short dump passes are a great thing!
SOOO Excited to have him back this year!!!!! Happy friday #BOLTUP

Noooooo. Its a Swedish one. Has its moments but it is not awesome beast like the trailer sais it to be.
Search for kopps as it got some crazy moments (it’s from 2003 or something though)

Idk man I think I’m not going to have any chargers on my squad , ever since I’ve been playing fantasy football I’ve been using chargers and the chargers been having average season. Just one of things like if I leave the tube during a game we lose lol

I have the same friggin’ problem! In fact, last night I went to an Angel’s game. Every time I go to one, they end up getting torched to the point where I usually leave early. They were 7-0 down before I even took my seat, and I was thinking “here we go again, just my luck”. So, when they went down 8-1, my buddy and I decided to walk to the other side of the stadium to watch the game from the Budweiser beer garden (took about 10-15 minutes). Not even kidding, as soon as I hit the hallway, and wasn’t watching… they homered. Then, by the time we got over there they had scored another 5 runs. I missed it all.

Same thing with the Bolts, or even with Hockey. My team will be sucking… but the second I leave to use the bathroom, something awesome happens! Thank god for DVR.. hahaha! I’m like the Shleprock of sports!

I would take DX if he’s still available in round 5-6 and definitely VB when he drops down to rounds 8-9 in my fantasy league where i’m the only Chargers fan (i live in Toronto, Canada).

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

nice. you should get a steal. i think Brown would be a perfect selection around 8 or 9. Still might have to wait 4 or 5 games before he starts stealing time from someone (malcom)

      • Dion Chin

Funny thing is, i grabbed VB off waivers after my draft ended last year. Sat on my bench all year hoping he would return lol.

        • tubbs45

I did the same damn thing week 6…

  • Gunnar Martin

Well I’ve already done a few mock drafts (can you believe they start this early?!) and EVERY single time I’ve been looking to steal DX but somebody always takes him at least twenty spots ahead of his FF ranking (which I think is somewhere around 70). But then I just grab VB with my last pick of the draft, so I’m fine. Doubt I’ll be able to do that in my real league though, which is filled with other die-hard Boltheads. Darn.

    • tubbs45

where did gates fall in your drafts?

      • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

that would be an interesting one. i always think around the 6th for him. now who is at the top of the tight ends in the league with gronk and hernandez in question

        • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

          Graham.

        • tubbs45

Yeah the TE competition just got a whole lot more interesting… Graham would be my #1 and Gonzo is back again in the ATL…

        • tubbs45

          How about welker?

        • Gunnar Martin

Vernon Davis? Could see lots more production with a full season of Kaep and no Crabtree to steal targets…

          • tubbs45

            oh yeah, great call!

          • Alter Ego

Vernon is on his way to becoming a Marques Colston. They are using him at WR @ OTAs. The fantasy drafts still have him listed as a TE. When Colston made it big – fantasy sites still had him as a TE too (he led in fantasy points of course @ TE)…grab Vernon.

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

            seems like a safe bet

          • Gunnar Martin

Colston started out as a TE? He seems so skinny…

          • Alter Ego

In 2006 he was drafted in the 7th round out of Hofstra. For whatever reason he was listed as a TE in fantasy drafts – he had like 1000 yrds and 8 TDs listed as a TE.

What the hell happened to MC Bolt ?

      I wondered the same! Shouldn’t I know?
