The San Diego Chargers have announced the dates for their Open Training Camp at Chargers Park. The times are all to be announced, but the dates for the first week are July 25th thru 28th and then a special practice for season ticket holders on the 31st. The second week runs from August 1st to the 3rd (FanFest at the Q) with the season ticket holder day falling on the 2nd, followed by a day off then another practice on the 5th. The last week starts on August 10th with only two more days, the 12th and 17th. The majority of these practices are during the regular work day, so put in for your vacation days now.
These practices are a great way to see how hard our guys work each day. It is also a great way to get autographs, photo ops and tell your favorite players how much it would mean to you if they said your name on TV after they got a touchdown. Ha ha, I swear I have never done that, but I’m always thinking it. The gates open an hour before practice starts. You can bring a picnic, blanket and umbrella but according to chargers.com you cannot bring anything distracting, like boomerangs (not made up).
You can buy new gear and they will have food available if you do not want to take the picnic route. Whatever you do, do not forget lots of Sharpies and make sure your camera is charged. Click here, to check out the Chargers website for all of the info. Boltup and be there!
