Former Chargers LB Takeo Spikes Meeting Up With The Rams

Former San Diego Chargers LB Takeo Spikes has been meeting up with the St. Louis Rams. He was there earlier today and will continue his trip there tomorrow. Hopefully Spikes can catch on with a team before the start of the season.

Spikes can bring leadership and toughness to some team. He is only a 2 down linebacker, but he still can get after it.

In his last game that he played, he was thrown out for “fighting.” It would be awesome if he could get another chance at playing and end it the right way.

Maybe he can get a shot at finally playing in the playoffs. He hasn’t had a taste of that in his 15 seasons in the league.

Is there a Takeo Spikes curse? I don’t think he would be breaking any curse talk by signing with the Rams. If anything, he would be confirming that talk even more.

I hope for the best for Takeo. He played his heart out for the team and I am sure that he will leave his mark with a ton of the players that played with him.

I sure loved that guy. He was a great teammate and gave it all he had.

The only curse he has are those concrete blocks he wears for shoes.

    • Ernie Padaon

haha… well, those blocks are only getting heavier. His ability to be a 3-down linebacker is done. It doesn’t help that teams throw the ball all the time now also
