JaMarcus Russell to Chargers, Browns or Vikings?

Speaking of Rivers, another season like last or god forbid anything worse, and the Chargers could be looking to move on from Rivers. If that were the case, opportunity would come knocking for Russell. Another reason I like this fit is the coaching

Jammer said. “I think I’m that type of player, where I can come in. I can cover tight ends, I can cover wide receivers. I can pretty much cover anybody on the field. I’ve been doing it for 11 years. Why stop now?”

    LMAO

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

saw that quote and giggled a little….. he couldnt even cover that receiver in Oakland…. yea, the receiver has no name. All day beat him deep

      • FitzWilly

He is becoming awfully close to embarrassing himself, and sounding like a spurned child

‘You have three to four more years left in you. What are you going to do with your life?’ I want to win a championship. Denver gives me that opportunity.”

        Stay classy “Texas Toast”
        (he’s from Texas) lol

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

well… he never did say cover well

      • FitzWilly

        Tru Dat E-Dawg lol

    • Stefanie Smith

In fairness, what should he have said? I don’t play well? He is trying to be confident.

      • FitzWilly

        Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda
If my aunt had Nuts, she’d be my Uncle :)

  • OP Bolt

Well, the silly season for NFL reporting has transitioned into an alternate universe where anyone with a keyboard can conceive of the San Diego Chargers, who will carry the eternal stain of Ryan Leaf, spending even a microsecond considering JaMarcus Russell.

    • FitzWilly

      Amen
I don’t want that waste of skin to come to the Bolts
AND we don’t want him in Canada either (we had a meeting) lol

  • Cgoodness13

On a side note, all jaguars fans think Cox can be a probowler, if it wasn’t for the injurys and crappy coverage on the team then maybe.

  • Cgoodness13

I think russle should go to the Chiefs for competition for smith, if smith goes down then they are screwed, and I believe russel could fit in Reid’s offense.

  • Stefanie Smith

lol. JaMarcus Russell. If that doesn’t beat all. But anything is possible. I do wonder what everyone would say if TT signed JaMarcus. okay, That was bad.

  • Stefanie Smith

Did you see the picture up there from the Bleacher Report entitled “Are Chargers Already Mishandling T’eo?” These goofs are bound and determined to turn this into a Tebow like atmosphere…. where T’eo holds daily press conferences all by himself… and the actual team leaders are in the background somewhere. Stay strong, Coach McCoy,. Keep that guy out of the limelight.

    • Russell Grant

I responded on that article that we don’t want to become the NY Jets and bring a circus to town

      • Stefanie Smith

        You’re smart, Russell. I agree.

      • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I almost never respond on there, but I made a point of doing the same thing you did.

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

What’s crazy is that the poll for that article was like 85% of fans saying that the Chargers were mishandling it, the last time I checked! That’s so ludicrous!!! I even responded with “if you don’t want a circus, don’t sell tickets” comment.. (stole that from Arnie.. lol)

  • Stefanie Smith

On the bright side: Whisenhunt says Rivers is Pro Bowl bound and is like Kurt Warner in his prime. I know he can’t say negative stuff, but he really said all great stuff about Rivers. He thinks this could be Rivers’ year. Wouldn’t that be something? Comeback Player of the Year?

  • Russell Grant

OK, time to take an opposing viewpoint on JeMarcus Russell. He’s lost about 50 lbs and he’s working out with Jeff Garcia to get his second shot. Who here is prepared to say Charlie Whitehurst is our guy if God forbid Rivers goes down?

    • FitzWilly

It’s never been about his physical attributes
      It’s about his mental decisions
“All the tools but no Tool-Box”
unless he want’s to come in for 500 G’s or so
      then forget it

      • Russell Grant

For a second shot in the league he just might.

        • FitzWilly

The only nice thing I’ll say about JM is it would be nice to have a QB that can run
          keep the defense’s honest

          • Russell Grant

I’m not trying to sell anyone on him being more than a backup here.

    • Stefanie Smith

Good point, Russell. I bet he could do more than Charlie. And he has lost a ton of weight. He is good looking.

    • Rob Base

Clip Board Jesus I hope gets cut. Let the two other young dudes battle it out for back up.

  • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

dang son… going nuts on the dump this morning.. we must miss football

    • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

I was just about to post the same thing! I saw 21 comments on the home page, and was like… “either this is going to be really good.. or very bad”… hahaha!

    • Stefanie Smith

I am taking the liberty for speaking for this group. Yes, we miss football. I read somewhere today we are at 100 days until Football!

  • Bill Nichols

Jammer is a loud mouthed fool. He can’t cover my old ass mother in law, guy has some nerve, or else he is just trying not to get cut like Green did from the Pats. Give me a break. And yes, this is going to be PR’s come back to greatness year. Maybe not the Super Bowl just yet, but soon, very freaking soon.
