Dwight Freeney Has Been Waiting For His Opportunity to Hit Peyton Manning

Dwight Freeney went onto XTRA 1360 this morning and talked about his time with the Colts and how he envisioned hitting Peyton Manning in practice:

“It would definitely be great to get after him. He’s a great competitor, I’m a great competitor. How many times have I envisioned hitting him during practice, when he had that five-yard halo around him and you couldn’t go in that circle? Millions of times. So it would be fun to get after him a little bit.” – Freeney said on XTRA Sports 1360

I can envision it also. Dwight Freeney speeding by the tackle on the corner and blasting Peyton for a strip sack. Manti Te’o scoops up the fumble and hustles down the field with his 5.6+ speed for the score. He is game fast though, so don’t worry about it.

I am sure the Denver folks could ask the same question to Shaun Phillips too and he has envisioned the same thing on Philip a few times.

That week 10 matchup is going to be a blast! Freeney gets to hit Peyton a few times. Shaun Phillips will get to hit Philip a few times. Quentin Jammer. Louis Vasquez. Wes Welker. Does he still count as a former Charger?

I can’t freaking wait to see the matchup. Down with the Donks.
