Manti Te’o Getting Respect From Teammates

Manti Te’o is getting praised for the stuff that he is doing on the field and with the team during OTAs. LeRon McClain is the latest vet to give his praises about the Chargers rookie.

“The guy came in, and he’s been working since he stepped on the field, stepped in the weight room. He’s caught everybody’s eye to see that he’s a great player.”

“The sky’s the limit for him,” McClain added. “I’m looking forward to seeing him on Sundays.”

Te’o is expected to be the starting middle linebacker next to Donald Butler and the SportsCenter world will be keeping their eyes close to the situation. For every misstep, it could be publicized. His every action off of the field will be closely watched also.

The biggest way to hush the critics is to play football and play it well. He will also have to keep his head down off of the field. He’s being watched.

Hopefully he has a storybook season for the Chargers and can make a huge impact in the middle of the defense.

I have definitely heard some good reviews on the kid out of Chargers park. He puts in work and he wants to learn as much as possible. He wants to know everything and is preparing to be the starting middle linebacker. He has the work ethic to get there, now he has to prove it on the field.

Can’t wait for the season to start. Te’o is going to be a beast.

All my friends texted me as soon as the Chargers picked him and still give me crap to this day. I think deep down they all know hes a good player but man i cant wait to see him play on sundays and shut them and all the naysayers up!!

i was at work when we made the selection and i was stoked and told the few Chargers fans in the office… they all thought it was a stupid selection and said he sucked…. apparently I have a different opinion of him than they do as well… hope Te’o shuts them up for me! Gives me even more reason to root for him!

Yea I admitted in a previous post that I didn’t like his play, but that was only based on the BCS championship game, so I’m wondering what they were basing it on. After watching film of him, I’ve been very impressed with his tackling form, pursuit and ball skills. If that translates to the NFL, the guy will be, like you said, a beast. Its the IF I’m only concerned about.

i think the only thing they know about him was the catfish thing and all the other stuff that was talked about during that time, like the BCS game…. they will see

While its all blah blah blah for now, its a good thing he’s impressing the vets which you really don’t see very often.
