Chargers Release OT Kevin Haslam

The San Diego Chargers released offensive tackle Kevin Haslam today. Haslam made 3 starts for the Chargers last season at left tackle trying to fill the void for Jared Gaither.

There goes one of the candidates that was going to give King Dunlap a little bit of a push. Not sure the reasoning behind releasing Haslam at this time. He saves the team $555k on the salary cap, if that was anyone’s concern.

Now the competition for the left tackle position is between King Dunlap, Mike Harris and Nick Becton. We need more competition at the position.
