Chargers Reach Deal In Principle With Dwight Freeney

The San Diego Chargers and Dwight Freeney have agreed on a deal in principle, according to Ian Rapoport. The deal is for 2 years and the dollars have not been reported yet.

There is the new pass rusher in town! Melvin Ingram went down and now the Chargers brought in Dwight to ease the blow.

Tom Telesco really has done a good job working with the salary cap to bring on talent to the roster. What are the plans at left tackle and is there a plan to upgrade the guard position?

This could be bad news for RG Jeromey Clary also. Clary is making the transition to guard, but his price tag is high for the position and he could free up room on the salary cap. This could mean the end of Eddie Royal also. It was going to happen sooner or later. Looks like it will be sooner!

The Dwight Freeney train will make it’s stop in San Diego. Let’s hope to see Freeney put his hand in the dirt and crush his boy Peyton Manning a few times this year.
