Former Chargers LG Tyronne Green Signs With The New England Patriots

Tyronne Green found a new home today, signing a deal with the New England Patriots. Good luck Tom Brady! Green likely won’t be the starter for the Pats, but if he finds his way into that starting lineup, Brady better put his running shoes on.

Green was part of our horrendous offensive line last season. The line was offensive in more ways than one, and not in the good way.

Green wasn’t part of Tom Telesco’s revamping process. The Chargers have Johnnie Troutman and brought in Chad Rinehart as possible replacements for Green on the left side of the line. Even though I haven’t seen either of those guys play, I am sure that they will be an upgrade over Tyronne Green.

It was a struggle to see the offensive line get Philip Rivers destroyed last season. Things needed to change this year and hopefully the new guys that were brought to town will give us a better outlook on the season.

I like how we are starting fresh.

I said it before last years draft, Green is not a starting OG. Guy is just so unathletic, slow, missed blocks, etc, etc. The fact that they actually started him last year speaks volumes about the previous administration.

Harris gets most of the grief, but this guy was downright atrocious as well.

  • Mark Viguri

Glad he went to Patriots because Green was terrible. He never helped out and often missed assignments. LT Rookie Michael Harris took all the blame but he typically held up well until teams ran stunts and blitzed and had to unfortunately count on Green. Unlike on the right side where Clary had a very good guard Vasquez next to him.

Dude could pull vehicles but not his weight on the field..Enjoy New England!

Can’t wait to see Brady carried off the field again!!!!

Green was backup player at best, and that will probably be his role in New England. Never should have been on the field as a starter. But with Deilmans retirement, I guess they had to put somebody out there. And a rookie off the practice squad was as good as anybody else.

The Patriots have a history of grabbing Charger castoffs and then turn around and take them to the Superbowl. Hmmm.

    Maybe they’ll take clary too!!!
