Wonder What Bryant McKinnie Is Up To?

A ton of Chargers fans are wondering what the Chargers will be doing at left tackle this season and a name that comes up a lot is former Baltimore Raven LT Bryant McKinnie.

Want to know what McKinnie has been up to? He is chilling with Rihanna! Can’t bother a dude while he is hollering at Rihanna!

Rihanna does need a bodyguard to protect her from Chris Brown! That photo of McKinnie was via Terez Owena and was from a Pre-draft party.

Hopefully after McKinnie is done kicking it with Rihanna, his agent can pick up the phone from the Chargers and he can join the crew. We need a left tackle in a big way. King Dunlap wouldn’t be terrible, but wouldn’t exactly keep us comfortable.

McKinnie comes with question marks of his own, but his role in the Ravens Super Bowl run is what has us sniffing around. If we can get him motivated for a little bit, then we could have a pretty good looking offensive line.

Having McKinnie and rookie DJ Fluker on the edges would give the running game a huge boost. Philip Rivers would finally get a little bit of time to fling it.

Rihanna, step aside… We gotta take care of business!

McKinnie is visiting the Dolphins today and they have a huge need for a left tackle as well. He is now a hot commodity for teams that are still searching for a left tackle. Max Starks is another left tackle that the Chargers could pursue, if McKinnie doesn’t come out this way.

Man, we need a LT. hope he is not too busy beating down chris brown, to come in and sign some papers. Philip needs you. Oh yeah we need you to show SP95 the light and/or what a bowling pin feels like!

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

I actually really hope we get him, big ol huge stop gap til next years draft. Him on one side and Mount Fluker on the other would be intimidating. Dunlop could then backup both guys……and I feel like he could do that really well.

    • tubbs45

Yeah I would way rather have Dunlap as a backup/rotational guy than our starter!

dunlap could also work in at guard also…

Were you checking to see if I was sleeping? Grrrr to Dunlap. The guy stinks. Period.

      • RussinSactown

I’d rather try Troutman at guard.

  • Sergio Quintero

Supposedly Miami is in heavy negotiations for Eric Winston, I’m guessing Miami has more money in their cap than the chargers.

  • RussinSactown

Hey you can’t bother a player when he’s on his game.

  • tbell11

I’d much rather have Max Starks because for some reason McKinnie reminds me of Big Lazy. I’m fine with the Chargers not drafting a LT in this draft if they weren’t the 3 elite because there might be 5 OT projected in the first round next year. Get our franchise LT and an OLB opposite of Ingram next year.

People: An Eagles fans mob about formed running Dunlap out of town because he played so poorly . No, he is not great or excellent. He is our new problem … our example that we swim against the current then act all surprised when things don’t turn out nice.

Every team said stuff about Gaither when we signed him….but nooooooooo, he would be different here. Remember: the same thing applies to Dunlap. Don’t count on anything good. That way, we will not be disappointed.

    • RussinSactown

They probably helped him pack the U-Haul and gave him gas money.

    • Sergio Quintero

Eagles fans may be too intense, but they know about football I trust the fact they hated Dunlap, so I don’t see him as a solution either. The chargers better get McKinnie or Starks here soon.

I’m not sure how much tape you’ve seen on Dunlap but apparently it’s a lot more than I have. Dunlap, statistically speaking is an above average pass blocker and a below average run blocker. Is he the solution? Probably not. Is he better than Harris? Absolutely.
In a WORST case scenario that we don’t sign another FA; our line is still much better than it was last season.

Additionally, I know that in hindsight Gaither was a bad signing but I feel like most people were so happy when he played well and “earned” the contract we gave him.

      • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

They have sportscasters and radio people and video on You Tube that rant about him. Here is a quote about King Dunlap. “Glad Dunlap is gone. Man, San Diego signed him.. They must really hate Phillip Rivers.” No he is not good.

As to Gaither, even before we signed him, his nickname was Big Lazy. We didn’t think that up. I cannot recall if it started in Baltimore or KC. His teammates from both previous teams complained about EXACTLY what he did on San Diego. So it was no surprise.

We were desparate and we thought he would be different when he played a few good games to get that guaranteed money contract. No. AJ knew Gaither’s reputation. It was everywhere.
When there are red flags from other teams going up everywhere, you pay attention, and probably take a pass. But nope, we thought it would be different.

THAT’s what we have been waiting for… I hope it isn’t the kind of “appointment” Porter said he would keep ; )

As long as Rihanna isnt included in the deal, that music really “grinds my gear”
