New York Jets Release Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow has finally has been cut free from the New York Jets mess. Now comes the discussions and debates on whether Tebow will catch on with another NFL team or if anyone around the league will contact him.

Watch as rumors about Tebow joining the Chargers start to surface, just because of his relationship with head coach Mike McCoy. We already have a little circus brewing after drafting Manti Te’o. Adding Tim Tebow to the roster would bring a full-blown circus to town and things would get a cracy hectic in Chargers town.

Should the Chargers bring Tim Tebow onto the roster to be the backup to Philip Rivers?

The easy answer is… NO FREAKING WAY!

Tim Tebow has never proven to be a good quarterback throwing the ball around, but for some reason when he steps onto the field, something magical happens. He finds a way to win games.

The one thing we learned about Tom Telesco this weekend: the man has GUTS. He drafted Manti Te’o knowing that it would bring a circus to town. Why would he be afraid of bringing in Tebow?

Mike McCoy would be the key to this whole thing. He worked with Tebow for a couple of seasons and would have the best scouting report on him. He would be able to answer if Tebow could add anything to this team.

I say… NO THANK YOU.

No. Because he isn’t capable of backing up Rivers. In order to use Tebow, we would have to scrap our entire offensive scheme and create one solely for Tebow like Denver did. Not going to happen. We have other players to think about besides Tim Tebow. Plus, Tebow showed some success on Denver because they had a decent o-line. We don’t have that.

Lastly: No need for two media “clowns”. We have one. That is enough.

Bring him in… Bring him in!!!! Rivers and him could go to bible study together, and Te’O & Sorensen could do the Latter Day thing… lol.

    He’s heading to Jacksonville :/

it makes a ton of sense for him to go out that way

    • RussinSactown

They wouldn’t trade for him. Better chance he goes to Canada

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Plus, to make matters worse, the Jets have balled it up so bad—now it is apparent he has no trade value. You sign him–you are stuck… just light whatever cash you pay him on fire.

And if TT is as talented as we think he is, if Tebow was the answer, why didn’t he trade with Denver and make Tebow the backup for Andrew Luck? Because Tebow can’t do it.

I say give him a chance.

Please change the picture for this article to this Ernie! HAHAHA!

I think he would be a good fit for the bolt’s. they need to add something to change up the offense, i don’t see much excitement in the running game (you know Mathews will go down at some point) and they’ll be stuck will Rivers having to carry the team again. also there isn’t the same level of religious intolerance in SD as there is in NY and on the national level, so it should be more low key, less stressful environment for him as well. I think it’s the best fit all the way around.

  • RussinSactown

I say convince Tebow that he should try to be a tight end. The man’s throwing mechanics are horrible

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

if he wants to play in the NFL… he really should consider a position change… he then could have some value

      • RussinSactown

If not, maybe Canada is calling him

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

what is funny… the CFL league said that they are ready to sign him… as a backup.

          • RussinSactown

            And the circus goes north

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

CFL is a passing league. That is out for Tebow then.

If Mike Mccoy has to field questions about this, the answer is easy. “We just drafted Sorenson, why would we add another QB” -

    • RussinSactown

And if McCoy needs a project, he can call JeMarcus Russell. At least he can throw.

I don’t care about Tim Tebow and the saga of his “getting a chance”. What makes me feel bad is a reporter talking about Phillip Rivers getting beat up so bad due to lack of protection, that he puts his eyes down… shell shocked.. getting antsy now in the pocket.

We need to worry about Rivers…not bringing on Tebow and all that entails. Spend what we have on fixing that o-line.

I’ll pass on Tebow as a QB but wouldn’t mind having him as a HB.

Tebow and Teo… insert TMZ clips now. the new reality show, “Christ and the Catfish.”

  • RussinSactown

There are people on the UT facebook pages calling for Tebow in San Diego. Time to see wheat’s being dumped in Lake Miramar.
