New San Diego Chargers Uniforms?

from @stryfe9agb via

Could the San Diego Chargers planning to give the uniforms a little bit of a tweak? A new head coach in town and they changed around all kinds of things in the weight room and on the field, could there be a little bit of a new feeling with the unis?

That pic above was sent to me via @stryfe9agb on twitter (via

If these photos are real, it looks like we are bringing in a little bit of the gold in the lettering and around the numbers. Can we rock the gold pants as well? It would look funky, but at least we would stand out in the crowd!

What do you guys think of the new look? A nice little tweak to the uni that won’t make you ROLF. Of course you all want the baby blues in play for the whole season, but it still looks like we will have to wait a bit for that to happen.

Just in case you needed a reference, here is Philip in uniform last season:

ugh look at all the dirt on his back………..Away jersey isnt bad but i dont like the Home jersey at all. Gold name just looks out of place. If they do that then they need to do the numbers too. I say keep the way they are

  • JoseSD

They need to wear the AFL away jersey with the white pants more often, that one was sweet

  • Keegan Tatum

Let’s go back to the 1960s powder blue. Those are some of the best looking uniforms in NFL history.

I like how they took away the white half collar on the home jersey, which always looked incomplete to me and dumb. I don’t like the gold letters i’d have to agree with Pels04, it looks out of place.

the all whites we wore for a game on that white hot sunday were awesome. they need to go ahead and keep that going.

    • boltingindiego

ya those all whites were pretty sick looking at.

  • RZ

They should try all Blue Unis. also.It would be sweet!

  • Cgoodness13

Those looks more like baseball uniforms :/

  • boltheadmike

unless they have everything else fixed, why mess with the one thing that is right.

  • Andrew Beccarelli

The thing I like the most, if this is real, is they’ve gotten rid of those big two-tone/toilet seat collars and are going with a solid. I think Nike jumped the gun and released some images too early, before the teams could make an announcement. If you go to you can see #95 with a solid powder-blue collar (I predict next year Charges will make powder their primary). But also look at Denver and Baltimore, no more two colored collars.

  • Peter Thompson

I like it. Never been a big fan of the powder blues, though.. I know I am in the vast minority there.

  • John-Allen

Gold lettering will really make the gold teeth pop.

  • thegorn

Good. Let’s get rid of that stupid horse collar.

  • Mathew Pearson

Lets just pick something and stick with it. Sick of forking out $260 a jersey every season on top of increased season ticket prices for field level.

  • sickofitall

Why don’t we stop worrying about uniforms and more about winning.

  • Julian Estopier

the picture is legit. if you watched the NFL draft that’s the home jersey was the one on stage with all the changes already made
