On Sunday evening the Washington Redskins spent some time with San Diego Chargers veteran cornerback Quentin Jammer as they continue to search for solutions to upgrade their secondary. No deal has been put on the table, but I still find it amazing that the 33 year old, 11 year veteran is still an unrestricted free agent.
Quentin has been a Charger his entire career and even though he had a broken thumb last year (as seen in the above pic with my daughter) he put up fairly good numbers (64 tackles and three interceptions). Jammer has 719 career tackles and 21 interceptions. While he is not the fastest guy out there anymore, there is something to be said for loyalty. There has also been talk of moving Jammer back to safety. Something many Chargers fans have been thinking should have happened already.
Come on Chargers management. Sign Jammer and let’s keep our leadership in the defense!
