Eagles home opener = Chargers Super Bowl Win?

For the last four seasons the team that has played the Philadelphia Eagles in their home opener has won the Super Bowl.  Coincidence or some sort of cool mojo that just happens to be placed in the San Diego Chargers lap this season?  The Chargers head to Lincoln Financial Field on September 15, in the second week of the 2013 season.  History has shown that this is where the magic starts to happen.

2012 – Baltimore Ravens actually lost to the Eagles in week 2, 24-23 to begin the season 2-0, but we know how the season ended in a dramatic Super Bowl win over the 49ers.

2011 – New York Giants played against the Eagles in week 3, beating them 29-16. Then after a crazy season ended up beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

2010 – Green Bay Packers actually open the season with a 27-20 win over the Eagles.  Their trip to the Super Bowl had them face off  in a great nail biter where they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.

2009 – New Orleans Saints arrived in Philly with something to prove.  Defeating the Eagles soundly and finished the season 13-3.  They got their first Super Bowl win over the Indianapolis Colts.

This is not scientific but it is certainly good data.  Cross your fingers, snap a wishbone and watch the show.  I’m sure we all can agree that we hope this streak is not broken!

I like it, hopefully we can slow down Kelly’s offense and sack the crap out of Vick all night long, just need to draft another pass rusher! =)

If i have to believe anything, we should all take this in context. if the eagles are a blessing to other teams, those Championships came under Andy Reid. Who is longer there. So we may be out of luck. Or, it’s some sort of curse and the Chargers will hoist the Lombardi in 2013′.

The other is, this is a team that still has norv and aj’s signature on it. There is either not enough “good” players on the roster, to make such a journey. Or, there simply aren’t enough “developed” players to get it done. What i mean by that, norv always found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. That is consistent norv. And AJ would do his magic, to ensure the best players, were playing somewhere else.

We’ll see if T&M can overcame norvaj curse, and help the Philly curse.

I’m hoping we can wash off the Norv smell. It may take a few games, but Magic Mike is going to turn things around. #Believe

The Chargers will be lucky to finish second (8-8) in the AFC West.

I’m guessing you are thinking Broncos in first, but I don’t know, I have a good feeling about this season. #IBelieve
