Last Chance For Teams To Make An Offer On Danario Alexander

At 9pm tonight, it will be last call for Danario Alexander for the rest of the league. If another team wants to make an offer on the big wide receiver, they have t get it in before 9pm tonight or he will remain a San Diego Charger.

Alexander is a playmaker and showed great chemistry with Philip Rivers out of the gate. A whole offseason with the team can only build on that relationship.

Alexander will be working the whole season toward securing a long term deal. He has to prove that he can play a whole season without hitting the disabled list and that he can carry the load of being the number 1 target.

Let’s see if Tom Telesco can sneak the mini tender offer by the rest of the league and get Alexander signed up and ready to go. Let the countdown to 9pm begin.

Will the Cleveland Browns throw out an offer in the direction of Alexander? Just seems to quiet to think someone is going after him.

Come on TT, sign him already… The devil you know is better than guessing and hoping, IMO

Why not take a shot at chris ivory for a 4th rounder? Saints may just go for it…

his tender is for a 2nd rounder. i like ivory a lot and wish he could get more playing time somewhere

      • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

and by somewhere i mean san diego

      • tubbs45

I had heard they may be willing to ‘down-tender’ Ivory… Either way I’d love to have him!

  • C.Steele

LOL! The irrational part of my brain saw the headline and thought “NO!! Don’t draw any attention to the fact he’s still available!” Like a GM will see the article and be like “Oh Yea I forgot about him”. Fingers crossed he’s a charger at 9:01PM ET,CT,P? Whatever time they are going by!!! Go Bolts!!

I felt kinda “jinxy” when I brought it up this morning too! Hahahaha!

Omg, I laughed. For a second, I thought the same thing-like a GM would see the article and think , “oh yeah, gotta get that done today.,” lol.

I think that Norv doesn’t have the pull with Cleveland to make a big play for Alexander. They might want to but it’s not likely to happen.

      Wrinkles can go pound sand
      he ain’t getting him

      • arnie

if if the do make an offer, would you really want to play for him? DX actions tell me he see’s the writing on the wall, and something special is about to happen here.

      • tubbs45

HAHAHAHA Wrinkles…. now that shit is funny!!!

Suck it BITCHES!!!! I can do it with one hand!

  • boltingindiego

hopefully no one signs him. Hes a physical receiver and is a good with the yac. Also hope his knee problems are a thing of the past.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

if those knee issues are gone… this kid could be doing great things for us for a while

      • boltingindiego

if he stays healthy and we sign him long term. great things to come since hes only 24.

        • arnie

I agree, and i think that’s why TT gave him the tender in the first place. They want to see if that knee can hold up for a 16 game season, before they put a long term commitment on the table. That’s just being smart.

          • boltingindiego

my only concern about the tender was that i wished it was a 2nd incase someone did sign him we would at least gain a draft pick.

  • http://www.BoltBeat.com/ Peter Thompson

If any team is trying to sign him this late in the game… I hope their fax machine jams!!!!

    • FitzWilly

      that would be awesome lol

    • Rob Base

      Second that!

have to think jeff fisher for not only drafting a couple of young recievers in last years draft but also for not believing in DX.

      • Supercharger77

15 mins and its one more weapon for rivers!

      • nativesandiegan

Glad to hear you’re feeling better

  • nativesandiegan

Hey Fellow San Diegans, Left in the blue here in mid-Pacific. Did we keep him? Hope if we did, he’ll sign the tender or maybe 2 or 3 yr contract with contingencies based on games played/ started & health that’s fair to him and the team (& keeps both happy).
