Oh No... You Danari-Don't!!!!

So…the verdict is in.

This one goes out to the salary cap hounds… the doom & gloomers… the media (and there were a lot of them)…. who, were caught in the malaise of a AJ & Norv flashback… who thought that The MAN!!!… Tom “just relax” Telesco… was making a……. let me say this loud enough for the people in the back to hear…. HUGE “mistake”!!!!… Well, let’s just say that it was the most important $750.00 dollars saved ever in Chargers history.

In fact… nobody even really kicked the tires….Crickets.

Which either makes you cringe… makes you feel really good… makes you think TT knows what he’s doing.. or all of them. Post below, if you feel good…. .heh!!!! Because I do!!!! Or, bad.. it’s all free game when it comes to my “articles”.. my comments are different, though ; )

Now… we have the draft coming up. We have tons of things to be excited about… including not having to draft a frigging wide receiver in the top 3 rounds!!! So, let’s all count our blessings today. Because, the minute Danario was at practice, was the minute this team got better.

Dang it… It was 750k! But you were right!

I won’t even edit less than my Bolt Beat yearly salary out of that comment.

        DX IS A CHARGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

So awesome, best thing that could happen a week before our legendary draft.

      • Ernie Padaon

I thought you were doing it out of sarcasm… I will just believe you did

        • Peter Thompson

This was the best thing that could have happened right before the draft! The revolving door has stopped! I bet PR had a lot to do with that… I knew it when DA made it to practice. The money seemed irrelevant. I wish I could be a fly on the wall.

Haha, I remember how much you were tripping out about the low tender. I never doubted in TT. You could call it luck but I like to think he knows what he’s doing. It was a gamble but a pretty safe one, a 5 knee surgery WR with Boom or Bust potential whose knee could give out at any moment. Now the team has the only good receiver from last year and $750k in their pocket ready to spend on someone on someone else. In Telesco we trust

      • Peter Thompson

Most teams aren’t going the 5 knee surgery route this year. We are, but he’s already here for cheap. If I were him… I’d want to make that V-Jax contract look like a joke.

  • Ernie Padaon

Tommy did it right!! Love it!

Thank you, Ernie.. I enjoy this site SO much! #BB13

What people don’t realize is that giving DX the lowest tender wasn’t the genius move by TT. The move you don’t think about is that he left enough unspent cap space to match any offer a team could come up with. If he had spend all the cap space on some FA’s before now, a team like the Browns could of came in with a front loaded contract that we could not of matched. By leaving 7 mil in cap space unspent we warded off any teams from even wasting their time making an offer. Now TT is free to spend the left over cap space, knowing he gets extra savings on june 1st when Gathers is officially cut, giving him an extra 4million to work with.

    • Ernie Padaon

      Truth… Very good point!

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Great strategy if that was the case.

    • Stefanie Smith

Actually, did he do that? Cleveland has a lot more cap space than the Chargers’ remaining space, don’t they? So do the Bucs, and a few more teams. But interesting theory. Go to if you want to see what cap space we have.

    • Hank

If they had put a higher tender on him, they also would have had to save that amount of cap space…so what? Now, he has the money available …with an higher tender, he would not.

    • arnie

So we’re in agreement. TT is doing his job “better” than his predecessor.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

    Thank God
